Chapter Eight - Reminiscing Memories
Recap :-
Evelyn and Krissy had gone to the beach to have some fun on the weekend but it takes a whole new turn when James Azdan kisses her and not because he liked her but because he wanted to make his ex-girlfriend, Vain, leave him alone. Evelyn gets pissed and James, in an attempt to make it up to her, decides to take her out for burgers and fries.

"So I haven't seen you around in school before this week. Are you new here?", He asked looking at me.
"Yeah I'm new. I joined this semester itself.", I replied.
"Cool. So where'd you study before this?", he continued.
"I was home schooled.", I answered in a monotone.
"Wow! You're either too rich or too dumb!", he laughed.
What was so funny about that?
"Well I guess it's the former then.", I answered and he turned to me in shock.
"No way in hell!", he took his eyes off the road.
"Eyes on the road and no I'm not in hell.", why did it feel like this conversation was going nowhere except boiling my blood?
"Really? Cool. So who are your parents? Maybe my dad might know them...", he asked with a hint of curiosity.
"Seriously?! What's your dad's name?", I asked in reply.
"Mr. Azdan. He's planning to sign a deal with this family. Uhhh what are their names again? Oh the Abbot family. It's kind of stupid, you know.", he continued with a little bit of laughter.
"How so?", I didn't want to disclose my identity just yet. I wanted to know what was so stupid about that deal.
"The fact that when he had a huge business, he signed the wrong deal and he got bankrupted. Guess who the business then went to?", he asked humorously.
"The Abbot family?", I asked a bit hesitant.
"Yes that's right! However, the business was originally supposed to go to the CEO Mr. Erendale but at that time....well why are we talking about this? We should be talking about ourselves. We're not our parents right.", he changed the topic.
"Who is Mr. Erendale?", I asked a bit curious because I had it in my name and when I asked mom about it, she wouldn't dare to disclose it to me.
"Oh some businessman who later went missing after killing his daughter or so I've heard. But that all had happened in Dorchester. We're in London now. Who cares?", he continued.
I care.
"Well, here we are! The best place in London for burger and fries milady!", he said in a very funny way like how the advertisements on T.V. go on.
I read the big board atop the cafe. 'BurgerShack', it read.
He opened the door for me, being a gentleman.
"I guess the days of chivalry haven't gotten over yet. I'm glad.", I told him.
"You're funny.", He laughed. A nice laugh.
It made me feel funny.Eh, I'm probably hungry because as of this moment, the amazing aroma of fried burgers, potato fries and salad dressing wafted throughout the entire restaurant.
I noticed James go to one of the waitresses. I'm guessing he knew her from the way he was whispering into her ear and she started laughing or he was just flirting his ass off.
