Chapter Seven - Stolen First Kiss
"Evie"
"Evie"
"Evelyn Penelope Erendale Abbot!"
"Uh... uh what?", I asked still half-asleep.
THUMP!
Krissy hit a pillow at me and I fell off the bed in the process.
"Ow! That hurt!", I shouted, annoyed and trying to stand back up and get into bed again.
"Well, it's your fault. You promised to stay awake while watching Saw VII with me. You know I get scared of these movies but you fell asleep!", Krissy rambled on...
"You can't blame me. I'm tired and I've already watched that movie, maybe six times by now.", I conveyed while trying to stifle a laugh.
Krissy's face was completely red, probably from being scared.
"Alright. So which part is this?", I asked trying to stay awake.
"It's the part where....

I got up from bed and looked at clock.
12 o'clock in the afternoon. Great.
Krissy wasn't there anymore. She might have left already.
She was only supposed to stay for dinner yesterday but then her mom got a emergency call from her Krissy's grandmother. So Krissy's mom told me that Krissy will have to stay back at my place for a couple of days until she gets back from Glasgow.
Of course we loved the idea and then Krissy and I stayed up and watched thrillers or what Krissy calls 'Scary movies'.
I had a whole collection of them ever since I was a kid. I was amused and fascinated at the same time with all the scenes, fake bloodsheds and screaming. Not that I'm a psychopath but I had never gotten scared watching such stuff.
I brushed my teeth and then took a cold shower.
I came out and then changed into black denim short shorts and a red crop top with lace sleeves. I put my hair up into a messy bun. It didn't turn out so good but for a Sunday, it looked okay.
Just then, Krissy entered the room.
"There you are. Finally awake, sleepyhead. You slept for twelve continuous hours wow.", she started giggling.
She was wearing some of my clothes. A dark green t-shirt that said 'I'M SINGLE, NOT READY TO MINGLE.' and black and white striped leggings. Her hair was in a ponytail and at the moment, she was admiring herself in the full length mirror.
I held back a giggle and asked her, "I was thinking of going to the beach today. Want to join? We can pick up your stuff on the way because those leggings and t-shirt look way too long for you."
"It does. Sure.", she replied and put on her pair of black sandals.
"Melita has made scrambled eggs and bacon for me. I know you don't eat meat so I made french toast for you!", she exclaimed and ran downstairs.
"Hope you didn't burn yourself again. Last time was a disaster. Thanks.", I smiled and ran down, following her to the kitchen.
"I swear, sometimes I wish my house looked like this.", she said.
