- 4 Months Ahead -
•• Nina's pov ••
"Ian you know I can't walk up these damn steps." I breathe out.
Ian decided we should go on quick hike this morning. Did he maybe forget I'm 6 months pregnant.
"Come on we're almost at the top!" He grabs my hand to pull me up the last few steps.
Thank god going down is a lot easier.
"Look. Isn't it beautiful?" He says pulling me in my the waist.
"It is. Can we sit down? I can't breathe." I roll my eyes.
Ian sits down on a rock and I sit beside him.
He hands me the water bottle.
"I think when we get home, I'm taking a bath and than I'm making you give me a foot massage." I tease him.
"Fine. Since you came with me, I'm going to do that for you." He smiles.
"Oh, it's kicking. Hard." I say to Ian and hold my belly.
Ian's hands cover my belly to feel.
"Can we place find out the sex? I hate calling he or she an it." Ian says pouting his lips at me.
I lean in and kiss those pouting lips.
"Nope." I smile.
"Damn you." He laughs.
I put my hands on his cheeks.
"Ian, we only have like 2 more months after next week. You can be patient. Like me. And you know how hard that is for me to be patient." I kiss him softly.
"I know. I'll try my best." He smiles as we pull back.
"Can we head back down? I have to pee and I don't plan on squatting in the woods to pee." I stand up and look at him.
"Yes let's go you peeing machine." He laughs.
"You wanna carry the baby?" I tell him.
He grabs my hand and we head down the trail.
----
"Bubbles?" Ian asks as he feels the tub with water.
"Yes." I say with a smile.
I drop the towel wrapped around me and step into the water.
"You relax, I'll be back." Ian says.
"No stop. Get in." I hold my hands out.
He turns around and smirks.
"I have to get Kai outside." He says.
"Well let him out and come back in." I say.
He nods and walks out.
I turn the water and lean back.
Feeling the baby move around.
"Oh little one, you are very active today." I say.
"Are you going to be our athletic baby?" I smile at the thought. Ian and I running the kids to swim meets, soccer games, gymnastics, football practice. I can't wait for those days.
I never pictured myself as a soccer mom. But I look forward to that most.
Ian comes back into the bathroom and steps out of his jeans.
"The baby is moving around like crazy." I tell him.
"Really? Let me feel." Ian says.
I move in between his legs and he wraps his arms around me, placing his hands on my belly.
