All five apprentices were at the Gathering, with three not knowing that they were supposed to be there.

Cinderpaw brushed up against Dawnfur, awkwardly staring around at the other Clan cats. She spotted a white colored tom of ThunderClan with fox-red tail and ear tips trotting towards her.

"Hey, you. Do you know Cinderpaw?" The tom seemed out of breath.

"I do, actually. I'm Cinderpaw." She dipped her head.

"I'm Redpaw, ThunderClan's medicine cat apprentice. Do you know where the other three are?" meowed Redpaw.

"Other three?" asked Cinderpaw, confused.

"Nightpaw of ShadowClan, Luckypaw of SkyClan, and Shinepaw of WindClan. Have you seen or heard them?"

"I have not." mewled Cinderpaw, confused. "Have you got mosquitos in your brain?"

"No!" Redpaw protested. "The other three are supposed to be here! Trust me!"

"You're ThunderClan!"

"You're RiverClan, and?" Redpaw tilted his head and shook it. "That doesn't matter. Go behind that rock over there. NOW."

Cinderpaw sighed and followed his orders. Moments later, he and a ShadowClan apprentice were dragging a WindClan and SkyClan apprentice from each clan.

"Hey, hey hey!" hissed the SkyClan one. Luckypaw. Cinderpaw shivered at the fact that she knew his name as if she'd spoken it all her life.

"My ear! My ear! Ow, Ow, Ow! Nightpaw!"

Soon the WindClan apprentice was dragged in too.

"Have any of you had a vision about a prophecy? Five cats, one from each clan, will go on a journey of self discovery. They will find a sixth, lost and unsure, and they will help this clan find their own way home."

Cinderpaw froze.

"I did!" Luckypaw yowled.

"Me too!" said Shinepaw.

"I did too! Cinderpelt and Cinderheart told it to me!" Cinderpaw spoke up.

"I obviously did. From Nightstar; the only decent ShadowClan leader in history." Nightpaw groomed herself.

"I got it from Bluestar," mewed Redpaw. "I think StarClan is telling us that we need to go. Far away from our clans; and journey far to find a sixth clan."

"Well, what in StarClan's name is the sixth clan?" hissed Luckypaw. "Unless it's the Tribe of Rushing Water; in which it would be MountainClan or RockClan."

"Are we wasting our time?" hissed Shinepaw. "The meeting's starting; and I don't want to miss my announcement to the other clans and miss rubbing it in the other apprentices' faces."

"You won't be doing such a thing! RiverClan apprentices will never be fazed!" snorted Cinderpaw.

"Guys, StarClan is wanting us to go beyond the lake territory!" Redpaw finally snapped. "Can't you see that? We have to break the Warrior Code and go sneaking out like kits do!"

"No we don't! Medicine cat's dreams are just a waste of time!" argued Shinepaw.

"It's not if you have a medicine cat apprentice relative," hissed Cinderpaw, giving him a cuff around the ear with claws unsheathed. "I have a brother, named Rainpaw. He's our medicine cat apprentice."

"Oh, I know him. But that's not the point," sighed Redpaw, shaking his head. "The point is that we need to meet here next half moon and sneak out of the camp."

"Sneak out of the camp?!" Cinderpaw echoed. "Dawnfur would kill me!"

Nightpaw's eyes widened and glared at her when she mentioned her mentor, but Nightpaw said nothing.

"I know, so would Runningpelt. But we have to do this. Remember when Firestar travelled-" Redpaw was broke off by a groan from Nightpaw.

"We all heard about Firestar! He's basically like the God of StarClan! Fire alone can save our clan, blah blah blah— we all got that." hissed Nightpaw.

"No!" yowled Luckypaw. "He's right! Firestar travelled all the way from here to save my clan! We need to find the sixth clan! I'm coming!"

Cinderpaw jumped; wondering what got the SkyClan apprentice's fur to bristle. "Who put ants in your fur?" She asked.

"There need to be five clans. Apparently now it's six! We need balance or StarClan will be angry! We have to go together!" Luckypaw convinced.

"I'm going," Shinepaw blurted. "I've wondered what goes on beyond the border."

"I'm also going. ShadowClan is a mess." Nightpaw fluffed up her fur and shook it.

"I guess I'm going in honor of Cinderpelt and Cinderheart," Cinderpaw mewled.

"Any arguments?" asked Redpaw. "No? Okay. I'll meet all of you here at Half moon."

"So will I!" agreed Luckypaw. The rest nodded.

"Nobody tell anyone of what we're doing. Got it?" asked Redpaw.

"We got it, we're not kits. Also, the Gathering's ending!" snapped Nightpaw.

The five dispersed into their respective clans. With her plan in motion, Cinderpaw knew exactly what she was going to do next half moon.
