As all of FieldClan migrated the fields, they were arguing on better names to call themselves. "I'll claw anyone who says that FieldClan is a good name," Nightpaw hissed, twitching her tail.
"It's a name made by a SkyClan apprentice. Show some respect, ShadowClan apprentice." hissed Hawkpaw.
"You saying that SkyClan is better than any other clan?!" hissed Redpaw. "I'm sorry, but which clan went extinct for many, many, MANY moons? And which clan's ancient leader was loyal to StarClan enough to bring you back?"
"Oh, like Firestar's so special! We all heard his story before, and it's old news. Just because he was involved in two prophecies doesn't mean he was as ancient as Shadowstar." Nightpaw hissed. "I think we should call ourselves MultiClan."
"Stupid name!" Shinepaw hissed. "We should call ourselves DreamClan, obviously. We all met in a dream! It works!"
"I'm thinking ProphecyClan," mewed Redpaw.
"Hedgehogs will FLY before we call ourselves ProphecyClan," spat Cindertail. "CinderClan is the way to go."
Yowls of protest bloomed from the other cats.
"Selfish RiverClan warrior!" yowled Shinepaw.
"Fox heart!" hissed Luckypaw.
"Mouse-Brain!!" spat Nightpaw.
"Hedgehogs will fly before we name our clan after YOU!" hissed Redpaw.
The yowls continued, only for Nightpaw to hear Daypaw's suggestion. "I have something we could do. How about we have a prey-catching contest? First cat to kill the prey wins."
"Well, I'll need someone to help me," meowed Redpaw. "I don't know how to hunt."
"I'll help you," Sunpaw said. "ProphecyClan is a good name. DreamClan sucks."
"Traitor," spat Shinepaw.
"Start!" yowled Daypaw.
Nightpaw started by tasting the air, watching as the others did the same. She scented a thrush, scurrying along the trees to find the way back to its burrow. It also seemed old and sick. It would be an easy kill.
As she crawled up onto the thrush, she heard Daypaw give the signal to stop.
"Stop! Shinepaw won."
She pounced, and landed clumsily, claws unsheathed, onto the thrush, earning herself a startled squeal before it ascended to StarClan above. DreamClan won!? Why DreamClan!?
She trotted back to the clearing with the thrush in her mouth where Shinepaw was standing proudly near a dead rabbit, which showed organs and blood squirming out. Sunpaw and Luckypaw came out of the undergrowth with a sparrow and a wood mouse.
"DreamClan wins!" Shinepaw announced proudly.
"StarClan, why?" Redpaw muttered beside Hawkpaw.
"WindClan has been dishonored, honestly," mewed Sunpaw. "Who knew undergrowth was so...so... soaking wet." Sunpaw shook the final bits of water from her pelt.
"You were hunting in the marsh swamps, weren't you?" Nightpaw let out a mrrow of laughter.
"In StarClan's name, PLEASE shut up," hissed Sunpaw.
Nightpaw twitched her tail in amusement as everyone kept on walking, feeling dishonored by their new name.
