It was a perfect time to find Donghyuck.

Why?

Well, Mark fed on a car mechanic two days ago and got so much energy that he wrote three articles ahead which meant... No work for a while. So, he used his free time to look for food before he could starve badly once again.

Since he knew where Donghyuck was working and when he had his shift, Mark turned into a bat and carefully landed on one of the delivery cars. There he hid and waited for the human to show up. Donghyuck didn't come for quite a while even when Mark saw him inside the pizza place. It appeared that his chosen human was quite talkative and maybe that's why he was late for the deliveries.

When he finally got outside and dashed toward a car, obviously running out of time, Mark slipped under the car and had one of the fastest rides in his vampire life. Donghyuck's speed made him shed bat tears, and Mark's fur was ruffled so badly that he looked like he had been electrocuted. He was patient, though, as with patience came... blood.

After unknowingly torturing the vampire, Donghyuck reached one of the customers' houses and stopped the car. Mark was ready for further action. He waited for Donghyuck to grab a pizza box and just as he opened the door, Mark slipped inside the car and crawled to the back seats. He landed on another pizza box and hid so that Donghyuck couldn't see him. The bat succeeded as the human left the car without even looking back. He surely had no clue who he let inside.

Mark was about to turn into his usual form when his little nose caught the smell he hated.

Garlic!

Mark started gagging. Oh, garlic—the old enemy! While new vampires were immune to crosses, and holy water, they didn't develop that well as garlic was still damn nasty! He had to step away from the pizza box since it probably had a garlic sauce or something else with the stench of this horrific enemy! He avoided flying to the front, so he landed on the floor, but the smell still bothered him. He thought he'd suffocate.

He started coughing now and unfortunately, before he could see, Donghyuck returned. Just as the boy opened the door, all the lights in the car turned on. Luckily for Mark, Donghyuck couldn't see him since he was on the floor, perfectly hidden from the human's eye. However, it didn't last long.

Mark accidentally sneezed and knew that he had made a mistake.

"Bless you," Donghyuck replied and turned on the engine.

He froze. Then he whipped his head at the back seats.

"Wait... Who just sneezed?"

Mark was right behind Donghyuck's seat, hoping he wouldn't get noticed, still thinking his hiding spot was the best. And that would've been it if Donghyuck hadn't started the investigation by touching the floor. He poked Mark's fur almost three seconds into the analysis and then freaked out.

"WHAT'S THAT?" he screamed, curious to see.

Mark heard the seat creaking and soon saw the shadow of the boy's head. The latter just peeked at him from above. Mark had his head down so now he looked like a dark furball that Donghyuck didn't hesitate to touch for a second time. However, this time he pinched Mark which, of course, came out as a negative reaction.

The vampire winced, which scared Donghyuck. The latter screamed again, but this time, he took drastic measures. He ran out of the car, leaving the door open. Mark heard him panicking, jumping, and running around.

It wasn't his plan at all.

The vampire walked around the driver's seat and glanced outside. Just as he saw Donghyuck going to the side to call someone, Mark flew out and hid under the car. He heard Donghyuck talking to his manager and how it would take a while to deliver the order.
