After 45 hours Mark felt a little hungry. For that, he went to drink the blood in the freezer and then made a sandwich to eat. As weird as it sounds, when the hunger wasn't that big, sandwiches or other human food helped too. As long as the vampire wasn't starving, everything helped.
After that, Mark went upstairs to work again. He worked for 16 hours without sleep, which was his usual working hours. But then he felt hunger reappearing again. This time, it was a little stronger, which forced Mark to think about feeding on someone.
Since it was nighttime, Mark felt brave to go outside and hunt some humans. He dressed in comfortable clothes if he needed to run and went to take a walk around the neighborhood. His eyes looked for people coming out of work, night joggers, etc. Mark knew he was lucky when he saw a woman leaving a store and turning to a dark corner.
Mark picked up his pace and followed her. He did everything so fast that the woman didn't even realize she was being followed. When she stopped to rest, Mark sneaked behind her and greeted her. Upon hearing her response, he hypnotized her. The taste of her blood was average. Mark could feel bitterness and something that he didn't quite like. He just hoped that he didn't get an infection.
Letting go of her, Mark looked for places to drop the woman. He saw a comfortable-looking bench where he laid her and carried her bags to hide behind. Just as he was finished, Mark turned into a bat and observed her from a roof-high distance, making sure she was safe. Once she woke up and looked around in confusion, Mark was ready to leave. But he really left only when she walked away from his range.

It had to be a week and a little more when Mark tried out all the humans he found and realized that none tasted like the delivery boy. It was difficult to explain what made this guy stand out, but Mark understood very well that his blood quality must have been the envy of many people. Of course, no one was jealous, because people didn't really understand what good blood meant to a vampire, but Mark couldn't really comprehend it either. Is it because of the food the guy eats, a healthy lifestyle, breathing fresh air, or something else?
One day, Mark was hungry to the point that his muscles ached again. He then hunted a man in the parking lot, but even that poor thing wasn't as tasty. He was okay, but compared to Donghyuck, he needed something. There was a significant secret in human blood, and Mark was very curious and determined to find out.
Apart from the articles he was working on, Donghyuck took second place in Mark's head. The vampire found himself thinking of ordering another pizza. But the possibility of getting Donghyuck as a delivery boy had to be pretty low. And there was no way Mark would call at the same time he did before. Wouldn't it be suspicious that Donghyuck falls asleep when he leaves one man's house?
Mark gave it a try though. He was in the middle of hunger when he got ready to call the pizza place, on purpose. If by any chance, he gets Donghyuck, he'll see if his blood tastes the same.
"I would like to get a chicken pizza."
"What about the sauce?"
"Something else, please. The last time I got a garlic one."
"Oh, we're sorry, sir. We must've run out of it."
"No problem."
Mark got rid of that sauce quite dramatically. He turned into a bat, took the box into his small feet, and flew until he could drop it in the trash somewhere in the street. Because... There was no way he'd keep something garlic-ish in his place for that long. Despite having differences from their ancestors, Mark and other young vampires hated that damn garlic the same as the oldies.
