It was the next week already, but Donghyuck's blood remained at a lower quality. Mark was concerned about why this was happening. He asked if the human was still depressed to which he replied that he had been a little anxious and sad lately.

"Why?" Mark asked.

"Just life stuff. I started eating less..."

The interesting thing was that Donghyuck didn't look sad and anxious when Mark was around. Actually, he looked quite in a bright mood—he smiled a lot and initiated a conversation before the feeding process. Even when Mark was already fed, Donghyuck still talked as if trying to keep him for a few minutes longer.

"Is hyung immortal?"

No one has ever asked Mark this. He had to think of an answer for a few seconds.

"You can say I'm immortal, but as long as I'm getting blood," he explained. "That means I can get injured easily if I haven't drunk blood for a while."

"Oh... So, you can also break your bones?"

"Of course."

Donghyuck giggled. Mark thought that this was for no reason.

"Anyways..."

Mark was about to stand up but Donghyuck seemed to get extra talkative.

"How many special powers do you have?" he asked with pure enthusiasm. "As far as I could see... You can erase someone's memories, hypnotize, and change your form into a bat. Anything else?"

"Vampires are physically stronger than humans," Mark answered.

He didn't want to say more as it could be dangerous to share such a piece of sensitive information.

"So can hyung like break the door with a single touch?"

"Not with a single touch," Mark chuckled. "But in one try, sure."

Donghyuck got out of bed and looked around for something to give the vampire. Mark knew he should've stood up as well and signaled the human about leaving. But instead, he sat there and stared at Donghyuck's plump thighs. He loved how fleshy and, obviously, bloody they were as it was always more enjoyable to bite something juicy than bony.

"You're skipping meals but you're still quite chubby," he said to express his surprise positively.

Donghyuck, however, appeared uneasy to receive such a comment. He stared at Mark for a couple of seconds, then grimaced and approached him with a thick silver ruler in his hand.

"Try to break this."

Taking the ruler out of Donghyuck's hand, Mark grinned, "Are you sure? You won't be able to use it after I break it."

"I don't need this anyway."

"Then," Mark said as he broke it just in a second.

"Woah!" Donghyuck gasped as he looked at the two different pieces. He then gulped as he lifted his head to meet Mark's eyes. "Have you ever killed a human? I-I mean one squeeze and one's neck is..."

"It would be impractical to kill someone that feeds me," Mark said what he and his brothers, but also most of the vampires thought.

"We kill cows and pigs."

"It's because you need their meat, not blood. We enjoy the blood of someone alive."

"True."

"Well then..."

Donghyuck glanced at the clock and yelped.

"Gosh, how late! Sorry for holding you up, hyung. You must have a lot to do!"
