Alarms went over everywhere, it was a scary feeling. Knowing I was the one that did this. I stayed with Berilo and Kori for an hour after the escape. I was in my swimmers and Berilo had his saddle on but both he and Kori were more keen on just sleeping.
I couldn't blame them, we rested for a while, pretty happy when I heard a roar in the distance, though it sounded closer.
Berilo, who I was leaning against stood up, shook his big broad head and let out a low bellowing roar. My entire body seemed to shake.
I knew it was the big white dinosaur I had set free. Though I felt slightly more calm knowing Berilo and Kori could probably beat it and defend me.
Kori let out a rumble at Berilo and Berilos eyes flickered down at me for a moment and Berilo made a small rumble back at Kori. They both purred in sort of sync as if agreeing and then Berilo lowered himself to the ground.
I knew he wanted me to climb onto his back, I didn't want to be forced so I did, hauling myself onto his back, Kori let out a rumble when it looked like I had gotten comfortable.
They waded into the water so I grabbed the goggles which I had been holding on my wrist almost like a bracelet and put them on.
Kori dove under the water first and then Berilo followed a few milliseconds later. It was peaceful underwater, especially when I had two giants willing to protect me.
They were so graceful and I let my legs drift behind me instead of in the saddle as I held on with just my hands on the bar.
We spent hours just gliding around near the surface of the water as I found new ways to swim and suggest directions to them.
I even let go of the saddle completely and looked over to Kori, he looked up at me, since he was lower in the water. It was a bit scary looking down and seeing just murky darkness and it spiked fear in my heart but I kept swimming to Kori regardless.
Nothing in this world could harm me if my boys are with me... I thought in my head and then held onto Kori's scaly unsaddled neck, getting myself comfortable.
He then swam up, I had to hold on with my legs instead of my hands because he didn't have a bar.
He surfaced and Berilo soon after, we all took big breaths and I swam over to get back on Berilos saddle.
As they drifted calmly by the surface so I laid down on Berilos back and could breath the fresh air. It was calm and I let my mind wander. I remembered Yasmina.
The quiet girl with her notebook and pencil. Now she was on an island with a crazy white dinosaur that is giant.
It was all my fault. I looked down when I realised I possibly just killed many people because of what I had done. I needed to go find the kids from camp cretaceous and make sure they were okay.
I got dressed and left my goggles here and let Berilo keep his saddle on. I looked around and found the Asset Containment Emergency equipment which were guns and tasers.
I took a taser and a belt, and two small guns and that was it.
I marched off into the forest, determined that when I found the kids I could lead them back and get them into the viewing area safely.
I was walking through the forest when I came across the ruins of a tree house or something, rope ladders hanging loosely from the trees and splintery wood scattered on the ground.
"Oh no..." I could see the big footprints in the ground that must've been the white dinosaurs.
There was a big sign that read 'Camp Cretaceous' on the ground. I didn't want to scream out for the kids because I don't know whether the giant dinosaur was still around.
Suddenly, the kids burst through the trees and bushes and screamed when they saw me.
"Thank goodness you all haven't been eaten," was the only thing I could bring myself to say. I looked around, it wasn't safe out here. "Come on, we have to leave, now."
"We need to get our stuff," Brooklyn told me.
"Be quick, you have... 10 minutes," I say and all the kids rush to the pile of broken wood and other random supplies.
"I can't find my necklace!" Darius wails.
Before I knew it all the kids broke out in fights about phones. I was about to tell them to be quiet but Ben beat me to it.
He looked around warily and told them to be quiet because of the big dinosaur around here. I agreed with him then I motioned for them to follow me. They did.
"Should we evacuate?" Ben asked me.
"I'm staying with Beril- with the Aqua-rexes," I say firmly.
"No, we have to leave the island," someone said and suddenly all the kids broke out fighting again.
"Fine then, go alone," I turned around and looked at them angrily. "Don't expect it to be safe for 6 kids to run around on an island with bloodthirsty abused carnivores roaming every edge."
Everyone was stunned, then they walked off in the opposite direction from me. I can't believe I wasted valuable time with them.
