chapter seven
the paint warrior can lie

"SO WHEN DOES THE PAINT start?" mitchie asked. "after the last performer, but we don't ."know who's the last one." barron said.

"then brown or dee pops a balloon of paint, and that signifies the start of color war." caitlyn said.

"i'm not gonna lie, i'm kinda scared." sage said, watching the performance in front of her. "it's fun, you don't have to worry." sander said.

then they all clapped for the performance, the person finishing. sage stood up, walking over to shane who was standing at the back of everyone else.

"quite a performance, where were all the instruments?" shane said. "saving that for final jam." sage said.

"cannot wait to see how amazingly bad you are." shane said. sage lunged at shane, him putting his hands up.

"just get me back at color war." he said. sage rolled her eyes, looking away.

"so why are your brothers still here, i thought they were only here for beach jam and final jam?" sage asked.

"who would miss color jam, it was always our favorite day at camp. made us let our frustrations out on each other." shane said.

"wow what a bond." sage sarcastically. "why do you care, nate catching your eye?" shane said.

"oh my gosh, i never saw this, you're trying to set me up with him!" sage said. "w—what. no i am not!" shane said.

"you are! i dont date shane, and no offense to your brother but he seems like the type of person to be overly shy, i'm the complete opposite!"
