[39] "I'm about to get paid."

In Wifey, we got to see Sierra and Ethan welcome baby Sammie. Avery's mother, Cynthia predicted that Sierra was going to have another child after Sammie turned 18. Fearing this, she told Ethan to get a vasectomy but he never did. Since the start of Girlfriend, we've seen Sierra have bouts of queasiness. Is she pregnant or just ill? We'll soon find out.

Monday night

Sierra walked into the house and rushed directly to the bathroom. Ethan followed behind her and frowned when he heard her heaving in the toilet. He collapsed onto the couch in the family room and rested his head against the cushions. Taking a deep breath, he attempted to alleviate a headache that was pounding his head.

Sammie came out of the kitchen with a slice of pizza and found his father there. "Rough night?"

Ethan's eyes opened and fell upon his son. "I was trying to tell your mom-"

"That you knocked her up?" Sammie finished for him.

"That I have possibly knocked her up," Ethan corrected.

Sammie looked towards the bathroom. "I'm not a genius, but I think that either mom as a serious case of food poisoning, or I'm getting a little brother or sister. I just hope it's a boy." It seemed like he and Teddy were the only boys out of the Coleman-Adams kids. They had an older male cousin named Gavin but he lived in Georgia was busy getting started in his career.

Ethan was a second away from getting up and strangling his son. "I fucked up." He dragged his hands across his face.

Sammie sat down beside him. He wanted to tell his father that he fucked up as well but held his tongue. He had possibly gotten a hoe pregnant and hurt the girl he loved. His life was also a mess, but he felt like he could help his dad out.

"What stopped you from telling mom?" She was still in the bathroom, and Sammie could hear the faucet running.

"She ordered the damn steak and they gave her a knife to cut it. All I could think about was your mom stabbing me with it."

Sammie laughed for the first time in a few days.

Ethan cracked a small smile. "I love your mother to death, she's the only woman I've loved for nineteen years, but she's crazy as hell."

She was, Sammie agreed silently. "Mom is going to be pissed, and she probably will stab you. But you need to tell her. It's not going to go away. It's already been a couple of months. Your time is up pops."

Ethan knew Sammie was right. He was going to say more, but the bathroom door opened, and Sierra walked out. "I'm going to bed," she said, before escaping upstairs.

"I'll be right behind you," Ethan yelled towards her. He looked back at his son. "You're giving me all this advice about my life, what's going on with yours? I spoke to Demetrius, and he told me about the breakup."

"I don't want to talk about it. Eventually, Nevaeh will move on. She can have any guy she wants."

Ethan stood and patted his son on the shoulder. "She doesn't want any guy. She wants you. I know you're technically an adult and headed to college in the fall, but I'm here if you want to talk. I'm usually good with the ladies."

Sammie nodded his head. "If I talk to Vay, will you tell mom?"

"Deal. Tomorrow I'll tell her," Ethan agreed. "And make sure you take your ass to school," he said before heading to bed.

Tuesday morning

Sierra got up Tuesday morning and went to the doctor's office. She was tired of feeling like shit and wanted a solution. Last night's dinner ended up in the toilet, and she went to bed right afterward.
