In part [36], My heart dropped as Sammie broke up with Nevaeh. Don't hate him, he honestly believes it's the best thing for her. We also got to see more cuteness from Desiree and Teddy. This part picks up right after the last one.

[37] "She ran to you."
Saturday NightTeddy kissed Desiree goodbye after spending an evening with her. They had been standing outside on her doorstep for the last 15 minutes prolonging the process. "Bye, princess."
She groaned. She wasn't ready for him to leave. "Do you have to go?"
Teddy looked over Desiree's shoulder and saw the curtain move. "I don't want to but I think its best that I do. Your dad has been hinting that I'm over staying my welcome."
Desiree intertwined their fingers. "I'm working again tomorrow."
"Maybe I'll stop by and see you."
"Maybe?"
Teddy rubbed his nose against hers. Their lips briefly touched. "You know I'll come by. I'll come after church."
"You're such a good guy. I'm waiting to see if there's something wrong with you. What's your tragic flaw?"
Teddy froze. He instantly thought of her family secret. He couldn't be the one to tell her. He hoped her family did it soon.
"You alright? You became serious all of a sudden."
"I'm straight." He switched back to his carefree demeanor. "Don't put me on a pedestal. I'm not perfect."
"You seem pretty perfect to me." Desiree stood on the tip of her toes and briefly kissed him. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Teddy drove home with thoughts of Desiree clouding his mind. The more time he spent with her, the more he liked her. Sean Garrison was a pain to deal with but Teddy didn't mind his overprotectiveness. He was determined to get to know Desiree better even if they had to have dates at the house with Sean hovering nearby.
He walked up to his home and was in the process of pulling his key out when the front door opened. His mom was standing there with a solemn expression on her face.
"I haven't missed curfew." He didn't have to be home until midnight. Majority of the time he was running late but his parents usually didn't care. He knew for a fact that he was early, Sean had pretty much pushed him out the house when the clock struck ten o'clock.
"I know. I'm guessing that you haven't checked your phone."
"No." He had left it in his car. "Did something happen?" His mind drifted towards his family, He started thinking of all possibilities. Was someone ill? Was there an accident?
"Calm down, it's not too serious."
"Then what is it?"
"Nevaeh is here."
"Ok-ay." Teddy didn't see any significance in it. Nevaeh was pretty much part of the family.
"Sammie broke up with her. She's extremely upset. I found her in the car on the side of the road," Sydney explained. "Poor girl, I remember my first heart break. It happened in the ninth grade. I'll never forget that moment."
Teddy wasn't in the mood to hear about his mom's past. "Mom," he interrupted. Teddy was getting inpatient. He just wanted to see Vay. "Where is she?" He was already moving past his mom inside of the house to search for her.
"She's in the guest room," his mother said.
He ran towards the back of the house where his dad had additional rooms added. It was usually reserved for when family visited from New Orleans. He didn't bother with knocking and walked right into the room. He paused in the doorway and watched her. Nevaeh was there in the bed asleep with the blankets wrapped tightly around her.
