[15] "We need to make a good first impression."

Jayda grabbed a wet cloth from behind the counter and walked towards the dining area to clean tables. To anyone watching, she looked like the model employee working hard but in reality, she was creeping towards London and Nevaeh's table.

She was curious about the details of their conversation. She had saw her cousin Teddy walk in and walk out after seeing Nevaeh. It pinged her interest and left her wondering what in the hell was going on between them. Usually Teddy would've came straight to her side. Something was up.

She sauntered over to their table. "Are you hoes ready for tonight?" she asked in reference to the party.

They looked up and smiled in response. "Of course," London replied.

She thought that Neveah's smile was a little forced. "I'm excited too. It's been a while since the last party," Jayda replied. "My parents have been trying to keep me on a tight leash. I'm ready to let loose while they're away."

"Will Tony be coming with you?" Nevaeh asked.

Jayda leaned her hip against the table. "No. He's out of town. I was upset at first but now," she shrugged her shoulders "not so much. I can have more fun without him. We all need a little fun, right?"

London laughed. "I agree."

Nevaeh nodded her head. "Yup." She stood from the chair. "We still need to go shopping for tonight. Ready, Lo?"

London gulped down the rest of her tea. "Now I am." She waved goodbye to Jayda. "See you tonight."

"Bye," Nevaeh added.

Jayda watched them scatter away like roaches. That was odd. "What in the hell just happened?"

"I'll tell you."

Jayda turned towards the voice. It was a single man that was seated in the table behind London and Naveah. Jayda flashed a brilliant smile towards him. "For what price?"

"Your number."

She laughed. This nigga. I'm only 16." Almost 17. She silently added.

"I'm only 19."

"I have a boyfriend," she replied quickly.

"I don't care."

Jayda sat down in front of him. She grabbed his napkin and wrote down a fake number. She slid it towards him. She was tempted to give him a fake name but the bastard probably already knew her name. "Tell me everything."

Jayda skipped towards the back and went to the side entrance that led to her aunts flower store. She was giddy with excitement. The nosey ass guy in the coffee shop heard every detail and Jayda was beaming with the potential of the news she received.

Her cousins were always bullying and blackmailing her and today she got some dirt to pay them both back. She searched the flower store until she saw Desiree helping a customer. She rushed over to her. "Newbie!"

Desiree dropped the flower vase and glass shattered on the floor. "Jayda!"

Jayda sighed. "Why are you so scary? Calm your ass down."

The customer walked away. Jayda went and grabbed a broom and dust pan and gave it to Desiree to clean up the mess she made. She ignored the look of irritation Desiree gave her.

Jayda leaned against a table holding a display of potted cactuses. "What are you doing tonight?"

"Well-"
