Girlfriend [Completed]

[29] "This is all your fault."

Brief recap: Part 28, involved Sammie and Nevaeh's Valentine's date. Their new relationship is perfect when they're wrapped up in their own little bubble but at the slightest mention of Teddy, the facade starts to slip. (I'm anxious to see how their relationship plays out while surrounded by friends and family.) After taking a picture together and posting it, they see a picture of Quincy and Desiree together. They're concerned and call on Teddy and Jayda to track Desiree down. Remember Quincy is Vay's ex and has a grudge against Sammie and Teddy.

[29] "This is all your fault."

Desiree held Quincy's hand as they walked out of the movie theatre. She wasn't a fan of action flicks but she didn't care about seeing the blood and guts on the screen. Her thoughts during the movie were focused on Quincy. Butterflies were fluttering in her stomach as he led her to his vehicle. She still couldn't believe that she was on her first date. She wished she could tell the whole world what was going on. The one person she desperately wanted to call was Jayda but she left her cell phone at home in her room.

"What time do you have to be home?"

Her parents thought she was with Destiny. Desiree was happy that her sister was willing to cover for her. The only technicality is that she had to be back home by 11pm.

She looked at her watch to check the time. "In a couple of hours. Why?" She wasn't ready for their night to end. They met at a restaurant earlier in the day for dinner and then rode together to catch a movie. She really liked him and she believed that he liked her as well. Why else would he ask her out?

"A friend of mine is having a small party, you want to go?"

"A party, tonight?"

"Just a few single people getting together. I just want to stop by real quick.

Desiree felt a little worried about the aspect of attending another party. "I don't know, the one and only party I went to ended in a disaster...."

"That was because Sammie and Teddy were involved. I promise they won't be there."

Desiree didn't miss the way he said their names. "You don't like them, do you?"

"Isn't it obvious? I have a bad history with them. Everyone thinks that they walk on water but in reality they're a bunch of bullies. They vandalized by car and jumped me in the past. They even stole my girlfriend."

She felt remorse for Quincy. "I'm sorry that happened to you."

"It's okay. I'm moving on to better things."

Quincy smiled, displaying his perfect dimples. He placed a kiss to Desiree's cheek. She wanted more but didn't know how to express it. Quincy had kissed her cheek at least 5 times tonight and it was driving her insane. She wanted to be kissed on the lips but was too afraid to initiate it. So she was waiting patiently and hoped that when they parted at the end of the night he would kiss her goodbye.

"As long as I can get home by curfew, I don't mind going with you."

"That sounds like a deal."

It didn't take long for them to arrive to the party. Just from looking at everyone in the yard Desiree could see that it was more than just a small gathering. She got out of the car and met Quincy in the front.

He held her hand in his as they walked into the home. Desiree's face was enclosed in smoke as she crossed the threshold. In the past, she had come into contact with cigarettes but her nose couldn't identify this particular smell. She inhaled accidentally and started coughing as it went through her system.
