"Camping, reminds you of old times again, doesn't it?" Aang asked.
"If you really wanted it to feel like old times, I could chase you around a while and try to capture you." Zuko offered while chewing on some type of jerky.
A few of us laughed, everyone except Katara basically. "To Zuko." Sokka raised a cup. "Who knew after all those times he tried to snuff us out, today, he'd be our hero."
"Hear hear." everyone raised their cup, except Katara.
"I'm touched. I don't deserve this." he smiled looking at the cup in his hands.
"Yeah, no kidding." Katara replied.
Katara stood up and walked away, with Zuko following after. "What's with them?" Sokka asked.
"Who knows?" I replied, finishing my food. "I'm going for a walk." I said, walking in the opposite direction.
I sat on the cliff, looking at the ocean, the full moon high above. "Hey." I looked behind me to see Zuko. "Can I ask you something?" he asked me.
"You just did." I replied, turning my back on him.
"(Y/n)." He sat down behind me and I sighed, turning to face him.
"I wanted to know, what do you know about the Southern Raiders." He asked me.
".. What?" I asked him.
"What?" he asked me.
"That's what you wanted to talk about?" I asked him.
"Well, yeah. What else would I-? Come on, its importa..." he stopped talking when he saw the look on my face. "are you okay?" he reached out to me and I hit his hands away.
"I'm fine." I rubbed my eyes, drying my face. "What do you want to know?" I asked, reaching into my pocket, and bringing out a notebook.
"Who was the Captain? Or what route do they currently travel?" he asked me as I scribbled down some things.
"Here." I ripped out the page and gave it to him. "The former Captain, current one and the travel routes. It also has number of ships in the fleet and crew on board. This is what I got a couple years ago, so you may still need to find a communications tower. But the general info is there." I told him.
"Thanks." he took the sheet and ran off.
".. no problem." I frowned reaching into the ocean and picking up an icicle and just throwing it as far as I could.

The next morning, I learned why he wanted the information. Katara wanted to find the man who killed her mother. I silently watched the altercation. "... Whatever. I don't care.." I walked away, making my way down to the beach. It was far from everyone, and I stared as the waves lapped at the beach. "Burn them, I don't need them, I don't want them." I muttered tightly gripping my clothes. "He doesn't want you, so why do you keep feeling like this.." I grabbed a fistful of sand and winced feeling something cut my palm.
Opening my hands sand, rocks and a small broken seashell fell to the ground. "That's bad luck." I mumbled, bending the water from my waterskin to wash my wound. I stared at the cut, and decided not to heal it. "If it scars I'll just have a reminder to stop being stupid." I went back to the camp site, using my clothes to put pressure on the wound. "Thankfully my clothes are red and black." I thought as I sat by my bag, picking up a random sash, tying it around my palm.
That same night, Zuko and Katara left on her quest for revenge. I watched as they flew off. "Focus on the comet.. after the war. I can give my brothers a proper burial.. I can disappear, leave all of this behind me." I thought, looking down to see Aang, and Sokka going back to sleep. "No responsibilities, no one to bother me.." I sighed. "Maybe I'll get a pet..." I mumbled. "A fish.. or maybe gardening.. that might work.." I lay down on the grass.
Morning came, and I opened my eyes to see Aang. "You slept outside again." he smiled.
"Yup. Probably hoping a giant bird will eat me." I sighed, sitting up and stretching.
"Are you sure your okay?" he asked me. "Ever since Zuko joined, you've been off.." I could tell he was trying to pick words that wouldn't get me annoyed.
"Just a bunch of useless thoughts. I'll be fine." I said. "Time to pack right?" I walked back down to camp, not bothering to wait for an answer.
It was nearly sunset by the time Appa returned, however it was only Zuko and not Katara. "We set up camp, I'll take you there." he said, helping throw the bags onto Appa's saddle.
The ride to Ember Island, Zuko gave us a recap on what happened and how Katara didn't kill the guy. I felt something on my arm, I looked down to see it was Toph. "Your heart beat is different." she told me.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about it." I replied, staring at Zuko's back as he took us to Ember Island.
