Zuko x Reader

Zuko

"Have you seen Toph?" Katara asked me as she gave me a bowl of rice.

"No, after last night, she said she wanted to check something. I stayed here." I said, taking the bowl.

There was then a loud rumble. We rushed over to see Toph crawling towards us. "I just told you, I burned my feet." she told us.

"I meant how?" Katara asked.

"I kind of went to see Zuko last night." she told us.

"You what?" Aang asked.

"Zuko?" Katara asked.

"I just thought he would be helpful to us." Katara got to healing Toph's feet. "If I talked to him, I thought we could work something out."

"So he attacked you?" Sokka asked.

"Well, he did and he didn't. It was sort of an accident." Toph said.

"But he did firebend at you?" Aang asked.

"Yes." Toph sighed.

"We have to go after him, he's too dangerous to be left as is." Sokka said.

"I hate to look for a fight, but after what he did to Toph, I don't think we have a choice." Aang and Sokka went to carry Toph since her feet would need time to heal.

"He's crafty so we should think of a plan." Sokka suggested.

"We could invite him back here. He already offered himself as a prisoner." Toph suggested.

"Yea (Y/n) can get him to come back as our prisoner, then we jump him and make actually make him our prisoner." Sokka smiled.

"Do I have a say in this?" I asked as we carried Toph to the fountain to soak her feet. "Why does it have to be-" We all covered our ears at the sound of an explosion. Sokka, Aang and I carried Toph to more stable ground.

"Stop, I don't want you hunting the Avatar anymore!" We could hear Zuko's voice as he talked to combustion man.

"Get her inside." Sokka nodded, carrying Toph further into the temple as Aang, Katara and I fought off the assassin.

Katara was able to distract him with a barrage of icicles so we could hide. "He's going to blow us off the cliffside!" Toph said, feeling the tremors with her hands.

"View is bad, angle is bad." I said, peeking around the pillar, quickly ducking from the smoke.

"Got an idea." Sokka stepped up and threw his boomerang. Something happened, then there was an explosion. We all came out from hiding. "I think you killed him." I looked at Sokka who just stared at me wide-eyed. "Sorry?" I said.

"I know I didn't explain myself very well yesterday." I sat with Toph performing another round of healing for her feet. "I've been through a lot these past few years and it's been hard. But I realized, I had to go through all those things to learn the truth. I thought I lost my honor, and that my father could return it to me. But I know now, that no one can give you your honor. It's something you earn for yourself by choosing to do what's right. All I want to do now is play my part in ending this war. Now, I know my destiny is to help you restore balance to the world." I finished my round of healing Toph's feet, dropping the water to the floor. "I'm sorry for what I did to you, it was an accident." Zuko apologized to Toph. "Fire can be dangerous and wild. As a firebender, I need to be more careful and control my bending. So I don't hurt people unintentionally."

"I think you are supposed to be my firebending teacher." Aang said and I sighed in relief, we were making progress at least.

"Thank you, for accepting me into your group." Zuko bowed to Aang.
