"This is a nice boat." I found Zuko and Iroh, holding out some skewers.

"Thank you." Iroh smiled at me.

"No problem." I smiled looking out at the water.

"I'm tired of living like this." Zuko spit out the bowl of soup he got earlier.

"Aren't we all? My name's Jet, and these are my freedom fighters." I never met him in person, but heard enough from the other three that I knew I didn't like him.

"Hello." Zuko greeted them before turning back to the ocean.

"Here's the deal, I hear the captain's eating like a king while we have to feed off his scraps. Doesn't seem fair does it?" he looked at me.

"I didn't steal these. The kitchen gave me some leftovers." I continued eating my skewers.

"What sort of king is he eating like?" Iroh asked Jet.

"The fat happy kind. Want to help us liberate some food?" Jet asked.

I turned to Iroh and Zuko. "I'm in." Zuko threw his bowl into the sea.

"I'm out." I stepped back, not trusting Jet after hearing the stories.

That night, Jet, Zuko and his freedom fighters returned with the liberated food for the refugees. Zuko handed me a bowl. I took the bowl, but didn't want to eat it.

"From what I heard, people eat like this every night in Ba Sing Se." I looked at Jet who had finished passing out the food. "Can't wait to set my eyes on that giant wall."

"It is a magnificent sight." Iroh nodded.

"Been there before?" Jet asked Iroh.

"When I was a different man." Iroh confirmed Jet's question.

"I've done some things that I'm not proud of. That's why I'm going to Ba Sing Se. A new beginning, a second chance." Jet said, and I couldn't help but scoff.

They all looked at me, and I looked away, not wanting to explain myself. "That's very noble of you. I believe people can change if they want to." Iroh looked at Jet.

"Not going to eat?" I looked at Jet.

"Not interested." I slid the bowl of food over to him, standing up and walking to a different part of the ship.

"What's with you?" I knew it was Zuko.

"I just don't trust him." I leaned against the railing. "And.. thinking of Ba Sing Se, makes me remember my brother." I shrugged.

"Sorry." Zuko simply said leaning on the railing next to me. Glancing at him, I carefully stepped closer, leaning into him. He didn't push me away, which made me.. a little happy.

"If you want to trust Jet... I'll give him a second chance." I mumbled.

"I'm not going to force you." he replied, an arm sliding around my shoulders.

"Your warm." I smiled as I felt him squeeze me a little tighter.

We got through the passport check and were just waiting on the train. "Get your hot tea! Finest tea in Ba Sing Se!" A vendor was walking around. Iroh of course quickly flagged him down.

"Jasmine please!" The vendor came over with a cup of Jasmine tea.

There wasn't even any steam coming from the cup as it was being poured. "Coldest tea in Ba Sing Se is more like it." Iroh looked down at the tea. "What a disgrace."

I watched as Zuko left with Jet, I stared at Zuko. Not knowing if last night was a thing that was just "in the moment" or if it actually meant anything.
