Zuko x Reader

Prisoners

It's been a couple days and Zuko seems to have integrated pretty well into the group. "You told him what!?" I asked, hitting Zuko.

"Ow!" He frowned rubbing his arm. "That's why I'm asking you to come with! I don't know how the prisons work." he whispered.

"You are both, unbelievable!" I whispered to not wake anyone up.

"Please." I looked at Sokka and sighed.

"Fine. I'll come." I agreed and Sokka smiled, quickly hugging me and dragging me along to the Fire Nation blimp.

"Can't believe this." I yawned. "Wake me when we arrive." I said, placing my arm over my eyes to block the light.

"You didn't leave behind anyone you cared about?" I overheard Sokka's question.

"I did leave behind my girlfriend, Mai." Zuko replied.

I was thankful I was on the other side of the blimp for my nap, neither of them could see I was actually awake. "Now I know the rumor was definitely true at least... good for Mai, she's been fawning over Zuko since we were children." I thought.

"The gloomy girl who sighs a lot?" Sokka asked.

"Everyone in the Fire Nation thinks I'm a traitor. I couldn't drag her into it." He said.

"Guess this means that day, when he wanted to talk about us.. it was to set things straight.. just not in the way I assumed.." I sighed, now unable to sleep. Quickly wiping my eyes, I pretend to have just woken up.

"My first girlfirned turned into the moon." Sokka told Zuko.

"That's rough buddy." Zuko's reply made me laugh at least.

"Have a nice nap?" Sokka asked me.

".. One of the best." I smiled, glancing at Zuko.

Night fell, and Sokka was getting some sleep. Zuko and I kept to ourselves, not talking to each other. 

"There it is." I said, seeing our destination.

"Waht?" Sokka mumbled, waking up and coming to the front.

"Plenty of steam to keep us covered." Zuko said as we looked at the volcano.

"As long as we're quiet, we should be able to navigate through without being caught." Zuko said as he began to light the fire in the balloon.

"We're going down!" I whispered, grabbing the edge of the basket.

"The air outside and the air inside is just as hot, what do we do?!" Zuko asked.

"Crash landing?" Sokka asked.

We made it to the island, though our balloon broke. "How are we going to get off the island?" I asked the two of them.

"We'll figure it out." Sokka said, grabbing his things. "I suspected it was going to be a one-way ticket."

"You knew and you wanted to come anyway?" I asked Sokka.

"My dad might be here. I had to come and see." Sokka said, looking under the balloon.

"Oh my god, and if he isn't!? What about Katara! I told your dad that- " The look Sokka gave me made me stop talking and just sigh. "Move. I'll handle it." I sighed, bending the water, higher so it would take away the balloon, hiding the evidence of our arrival.

"Hope you know what you're doing. Theres no turning back now." Zuko said, looking at us both.

We were able to sneak in and find some guard uniforms. "We just need to stay low and find my dad as soon as possible." Sokka said as I locked the door we just closed.
