After they finished their snacks, Ishan noticed Oggy’s food bowl was nearly empty. “Oh no, the cat food’s almost gone,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
Shubman’s eyes lit up with a spark of opportunity. “Perfect timing, sir,” he said smoothly, leaning back against the counter. “Let’s go to the supermarket together. It’s a bit far, and I can drive you there.”
Ishan hesitated for a moment. “Are you sure? I can go later on my own.”
Shubman shook his head, flashing a playful grin. “Come on, sir, I’m already here, and I’ve got nothing better to do. Besides, carrying bags is what I’m good at.”
Ishan laughed softly. “Alright, fine. Let me just change real quick.”
As Ishan disappeared into his room, Shubman leaned against the doorway, waiting. When Ishan emerged a few minutes later, Shubman felt his jaw go slack for a second. Ishan had changed into a white button-up shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans that hugged his slim figure perfectly, accentuating his waist and legs. The soft fabric of the shirt hinted at his collarbone, and his hair, slightly tousled, framed his face in an effortlessly charming way.
*Imagine Ishu in this with his pearl necklace*
Shubman was practically drooling. How does he manage to look this good without even trying? he thought, quickly wiping the smirk that threatened to show.
Ishan glanced at him, oblivious to the effect he was having. “Ready to go?”
Shubman nodded, trying to keep his voice steady. “Y-yeah, let’s go.” As they headed out the door, Shubman thought to himself, This trip just got a whole lot better.
As they exited the supermarket, their bags filled with cat food and a few supplies including Ishan’s chart paper, the sky suddenly darkened. Moments later, heavy raindrops began to fall, quickly turning into a downpour.
“Oh no,” Ishan exclaimed, trying to shield their bags with his arms. “We’re going to get soaked!”
Shubman glanced around and pointed to a nearby park with a small shelter. “Let’s take cover there.”
They dashed through the rain, laughing as the drops soaked through their clothes. Once under the shelter, both were completely drenched. Ishan ran a hand through his wet hair, water dripping down his face, unaware of how captivating he looked.
Shubman’s gaze dropped, and his breath caught in his throat. Ishan’s white shirt had turned almost translucent, clinging to his skin and revealing his toned chest and slender waist beneath. The soft outline of his skin against the fabric was a sight Shubman struggled to tear his eyes away from.
Ishan, busy squeezing water out of his shirt, hadn’t noticed Shubman’s internal struggle. “This rain came out of nowhere,” he said with a small laugh, shaking his head.
