After finishing his classes, Shubman stepped out of the college building and quickly called his mother.

"Maa, main late aane wala hoon. Ek kaam hai."

After ending the call, Shubman headed straight to Ishan’s house, excitement bubbling in his chest. He hadn't seen Ishan properly since morning, and it was already too much for him.

When he reached, he knocked on the door, and within seconds, the door swung open.

And there stood Ishan—dressed in a cute oversized T-shirt and tiny shorts, looking like the most adorable thing on earth. His soft hair was slightly messy, and his doe eyes blinked up at Shubman in surprise.

For a moment, Shubman just stared, his heart skipping a beat. Damn, he missed him.

Without a word, Shubman pulled Ishan into a tight hug, burying his face into the crook of his neck. “Missed you so much baby,” he murmured, inhaling Ishan’s sweet scent.

Ishan giggled, wrapping his arms around Shubman’s shoulders. “Shubman, tu mujhe subah hi toh mila tha!”

That was too long ago,” Shubman groaned dramatically, pulling back just to look at Ishan’s flushed face. “You have no idea how much I wanted to see you.”

Before Ishan could protest further, Shubman effortlessly picked him up in his arms, making Ishan yelp in surprise.

“Sh-Shubman! Neeche utaaro!” Ishan whined, but his giggles betrayed how much he was enjoying this.

“Nope,” Shubman smirked, adjusting his grip and holding Ishan even closer. “Aise hi rehne de… feels nice.”

Ishan huffed but rested his head on Shubman’s shoulder, secretly loving it.

“Kya kar rahe the tum?” Shubman asked as he stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

“Bas apni dressing table ki drawers saaf kar raha tha…”

Shubman casually threw his bag onto the sofa and started walking towards Ishan’s bedroom—without putting him down.

“Main bhi help karunga,” he said, grinning.

Ishan gasped. “Shubman, pehle mujhe neeche utaaro!”

Shubman smirked and tightened his hold. “No chance. Pehle room mein chalo.”

Ishan sighed, but his cheeks burned pink as Shubman carried him effortlessly, heading straight to the bedroom like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Shubman stepped into Ishan’s room and immediately stopped in his tracks.

The floor was covered with all sorts of things—books, hair brushes, small jewelry boxes, pens, folded letters, and keychains etc. He raised an eyebrow.

“What the hell happened here?” he asked, amused.

“Everything was messed up and tangled, so I was trying to organise it properly.”

Shubman shook his head with a small smile and finally put Ishan down from his arms.  “Alright, tell me what to do.”

Ishan beamed and handed him a few things. “Just pass me the scattered stuff one by one. I’ll arrange them.”

And so, they got to work—Shubman handing things over lazily while Ishan neatly placed them inside the drawer.

A few minutes passed in comfortable silence before Shubman, unable to resist teasing, suddenly said, “You know, your place is always so neat and organised.”
