As they continued talking, Ishan’s expression turned a bit worried. He hesitated before asking softly, "Shubman... tumne apni mom ko bataya ki main tumhara teacher hoon aur hum dono... dating kar rahe hain?"
Shubman leaned back in his chair, casually taking another bite of breakfast before replying, "Haan, maine bataya."
Ishan’s eyes widened slightly, and his worry deepened. "Aur... unhone kya kaha? K-koi problem toh nahi hui na?"
Shubman chuckled and reached over to ruffle Ishan's hair playfully. "Pehle toh mom thoda shock hui. Unhone laga ki tum mere junior ho."
Ishan gulped nervously, fidgeting with his fingers. "Fir?"
Shubman’s tone softened as he continued, "Fir maine sab explain kiya. Maine unhe samjhaya ki tum sirf chaar saal bade ho, aur humare age difference mein koi badi baat nahi hai. Tumhari achchai ke baare mein bhi bataya, ki tumhara nature kitna caring aur sweet hai."
He reached out to place a comforting hand on Ishan’s. "Mom ne samajh liya. Unhone bola ki agar hum dono eksath khush ho aur dono ek-dusre se pyaar karte hain, toh unhe koi problem nahi hai."
Ishan exhaled a relieved sigh, though his cheeks were still flushed. "Shubman... ye sab to thik hai pur meri tarif karne ki kya jarurat thi....... Chhodo koi nhi abb meri adhi tension dur ho gayi."
Shubman smiled and leaned closer. "Of course. Waise bhi, mujhe pata tha ki tum tension lene waale ho. Isiliye pehle hi sab sort kar diya."
Ishan couldn’t help but smile shyly, grateful for Shubman’s support. "Thank you Shubi."
Shubman grinned and replied confidently, " Welcome, toh ab tension chhodo aur yeh kheer khatam karo thandi ho jayegi."
Ishan chuckled softly and nodded, his earlier worry fading as he felt reassured by Shubman’s unwavering confidence.
As they finished lunch, Ishan leaned back in his chair with a content smile. "Kheer toh bohot hi amazing thi maza as Gaya kha kar and Taste bilkul ghar jaise... actually, ghar se bhi better."
Shubman smirked, wiping his mouth with a napkin as he got up and casually moved to the sofa. He stretched his arms lazily and mumbled under his breath, "Shaadi karoge toh roz kha sakte ho..."
Though the words were quiet, Ishan’s sharp ears caught them. His eyes widened, and his cheeks turned a bright shade of red as he stammered, "T-tumne abhi kya kaha?"
Shubman turned to him with an innocent face, but the glint in his eyes betrayed him. "Kuch nahi, sir. Bas yeh soch raha tha ki mom ko tum bohot pasand aaye ho iss liye pyaar se banaya hoga."
Ishan’s blush deepened as he fumbled for words, clearly flustered. Before he could respond, Oggy trotted over, jumping onto Shubman’s lap as if sensing the moment needed a distraction.
Shubman chuckled and petted Oggy, his fingers running through the soft fur. "Dekha? Oggy bhi kitna smart hai. Usne mujhe miss kiya. Hai na, Oggy?" he said, looking down at the cat, who purred contentedly.
Ishan crossed his arms, trying to hide his embarrassment but failing miserably. "H-hum baat kar rahe the kheer ki, aur tum yahaan kuch aur hi planning kar rahe ho..."
Shubman smirked and leaned back against the sofa, still stroking Oggy. "Kya karun? Tumhare saath rehne ka sochta hoon toh naturally future planning dimaag mein aati hai."
Ishan groaned, his blush not fading. He turned away, mumbling to himself while Shubman laughed softly, thoroughly enjoying how easily he could fluster his boyfriend.
Ishan, trying to steer the conversation away from Shubman’s teasing, asked casually, “Waise tumhari mid-term ki preparation kaisi chal rahi hai?”
Shubman’s smirk instantly vanished. He slouched slightly on the sofa, muttering under his breath, “Topper logo ke saath rehne ki yahi problem hoti hai... jab dekho padhai ki baatein...”
Unfortunately for him, Ishan heard every word. He narrowed his eyes, standing with his hands on his hips. “Agar tumne kam marks laaye, toh samajh lo Shubman Gill, tumhare liye is ghar ka darwaza hamesha ke liye band ho jayega,” he declared sternly, though his soft features and cute face betrayed his resolve.
Shubman pouted dramatically, his forehead creasing in mock annoyance. “Yeh toh galat baat hai, sir. Jab boyfriend ho toh motivate karne ka kaam hota hai, na ki dhamki dene ka.”
Ishan raised an eyebrow but didn’t budge. “Main motivate hi kar raha hoon... apni unique style mein,” he said with a small smirk.
Shubman thought for a moment before leaning forward, his lips curling back into a sly grin. “Theek hai. Agar main top marks lekar aaya, toh?”
Ishan blinked, taken aback by the question. After a moment of thought, he said cautiously, “Agar tumne top marks laaye, toh... main jo bhi tum kahoge vo karuga .”
The moment the words left Ishan’s mouth, Shubman’s smirk widened. He leaned back on the sofa, looking smug and satisfied. “Jo bhi main kahunga?” he repeated, as if savoring the promise.
Ishan immediately regretted his words. “H-haan, lekin kuch zyada mat sochna. Main tumhare tricks samajhta hoon.”
Shubman chuckled, his confidence restored. “Bas dekhte jao, sir. Tumhe apna vaada nibhana padega. Aur yeh mat bhoolna, main bohot creative hoon.” he said winking.
Ishan rolled his eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at his lips. “Pehle marks le aao, phir baaki baat karenge.”
“Challenge accepted, sir,” Shubman replied, grinning ear to ear, already planning his "reward."
