The classroom erupted in cheers as soon as Ishan announced the news about the Goa trip. The excitement was contagious, with students high-fiving each other and already making plans for the trip.
One student raised their hand eagerly. “Sir, are you coming with us?”
Ishan smiled warmly. “Since I am your class teacher, I think I should be there to make sure you all behave.”
The class erupted in another round of cheers, clapping and shouting in delight. Shubman, who had been lounging in his seat with his signature confident air, turned his head to look at Ishan. A slow, mischievous smirk spread across his face, his eyes glinting with amusement and something deeper.
Ishan felt Shubman’s gaze and tried to maintain his composure, but the way Shubman was staring at him made his cheeks warm. He quickly cleared his throat, attempting to focus on the students.
“Alright, alright, calm down,” Ishan said, trying to regain control of the class. “I will hand out the details tomorrow, so don’t forget to collect the permission slips for your parents to sign. And remember, this is a trip, not an excuse to break rules!”
The students groaned playfully but nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, Shubman leaned back in his chair, still smirking, as if already plotting ways to make the trip unforgettable—for Ishan especially.
Ishan glanced at Shubman out of the corner of his eye, his heart skipping a beat when their gazes met. Something told him this trip was going to be anything but ordinary.
Ishan was rinsing his hands in the sink, the sound of running water filling the otherwise quiet washroom. Suddenly, he heard the click of the door locking behind him. Startled, he turned around, his heart racing, only to find Shubman leaning casually against the door, his signature smirk plastered across his face.
“Shubman!” Ishan exclaimed, his voice a mix of surprise and scolding.
Without a word, Shubman strode over to Ishan, closing the distance between them in a few long steps. Before Ishan could say anything else, Shubman leaned down and pressed a soft, quick kiss to Ishan’s cheek.
Ishan froze, his cheeks instantly heating up. “W-what are you doing?!” he stammered, glancing nervously at the locked door.
Shubman chuckled, clearly enjoying Ishan’s flustered reaction. “What? Can’t I say I’m excited to go on this trip with you?” he said, his deep voice teasing but sincere.
“Y-you could’ve just said it like a normal person!” Ishan replied, trying to glare at Shubman, but his crimson cheeks betrayed him.
Shubman grinned wider, his gaze dropping briefly to Ishan’s lips before meeting his eyes again. “But where’s the fun in that?” he teased, leaning slightly closer, making Ishan take a step back until he was almost against the sink.
“You’re impossible,” Ishan muttered, trying to keep his voice steady as he turned away to grab a paper towel.
“Only for you, sir,” Shubman replied cheekily, emphasizing the “sir” in a way that made Ishan’s heart skip a beat.
Realizing the situation, Ishan quickly pushed Shubman toward the door. “You better get out before someone comes in and sees you here!”
Shubman laughed but allowed himself to be shooed out.
Shubman leaned casually against the door, his smirk grew even more mischievous. “A trip to Goa with you, sir,” he said, his tone dripping with innuendo. “Just think of all the things we can do there.”Ishan’s cheeks flamed as he realized the implication of Shubman’s words. “Shubman!” he scolded, trying to maintain his composure. “It’s a college trip! You better behave yourself.”
