Becky's POV

"You want to protect me right? You want me to be safe...right?" -- I made Freen sit on the bed and cupped her cheeks... Freen just stared into my eyes ...

"Then marry me...." -- I said and I could see her eyes widen in disbelief...

"Wha.... what did you say?" -- She stuttered...

"I Said Marry Me Miss. Chankimha Freen..............." -- I stared back into her eyes and said once again.

Freen did not repond.

I waited.. Cupping her cheeks... Her confused gaze lingering on my face...

"Freen.... " -- I called to wake her if she were in a daze and she continued staring at me.

I slowly withdrew my hands and she did not respond. That must be a 'no'. The way she looks at me, it must be a 'no'.

"I'm...I'm sorry that I asked you.... I'm.......... " -- I did not complete my sentence and just left the room. Freen was still sitting on the bed. I grabbed my phone on the way out and walked down the stairs.

"Isn't Freen awake yet? Where do you want to go dear?" -- Dad asked me when I walked to the door. He was already ready to be off to work.

"I... I needed to go home... She is sleeping... " -- I said nervously and he looked at me searchingly. -- "All okay child?" -- He asked and I controlled myself from shedding tears.

"Let me drop you on the way then.." -- He said and I hurried to deny his offer. I don't want him to be late for whatever he was going for.

"Chai will drop you then.. See you soon kid..." -- He closed the door for me after I got into the back seat. I leaned back on to seat with a heavy sigh, waiting for the car to start moving. My tears started flowing steadily. May be I overstepped. May be she is not ready for anything serious. I might have made her confused.

I wiped away the tears and leaned my head on the car window. There is a sharp pang in my heart and it hurt... a lot..........

Freen's POV

I sat there..frozen for minutes.. confused and ........excited?

But panic washed over me the moment I came back to my senses. Becky was not there in the room. She left!!

I was so shocked that I could not reply to her and she just left?!!!!

I ran down the stairs and Becky was not there either.

"Hey ... What happened? Why are you running?" -- Mom asked and I just looked at her and asked "Where is Becky?" while running to the front.

"She said she wants to go home. Dad has told Chai to drop her.." -- Mom yelled behind me and ...

What? She is going home? After dropping such a question? No...

I ran to the front and saw Chai was trying to get into the car. I pushed him to the side and looked inside. Becky was sitting at the back seat. Tears streaming down..

"Bec... Get out now... You are not going anywhere now..." -- I opened the door and Becky did not even look at me. Dad and Chai were looking at us in confusion and surprise.

"Baby... You can't just leave me like this after dropping such a question.." -- I pleaded and Dad looked at me -- "What question?"

She was still sitting stubbornly and I pulled her hand, making her to step outside. She was still standing and was not ready to move.
