she surprises you

You’ve been missing Sabrina like crazy. Six months without her has felt like an eternity, and tonight, lying in bed, you’re scrolling through pictures, rewatching saved videos, anything to feel like she’s closer. You check the time, thinking about calling her, but you know she’s probably worn out from performing.

Just then, you hear a quiet knock at the door. You freeze, your heart skipping a beat. It’s almost midnight—way too late for visitors—but the knock comes again, a bit louder this time. Curiosity and a weird sense of hope drive you to the door.

You open it, and there she is. Sabrina, with that familiar smirk and a hoodie that’s just slightly oversized, hands tucked into her pockets.

For a second, you’re speechless, and then you whisper, “Sabrina…?”

She just grins and steps inside, pulling you into a hug before you can even react. “Told you I’d be home soon. Just thought I’d make it a surprise,” she says softly, her voice a warm, familiar comfort. “Hope you didn’t get too used to life without me,” she teases, laughing as she pulls back to look at you.

You laugh, feeling the weight of the past six months melt away. “I barely survived,” you joke, hugging her tighter. “But seriously, how did you get here without me knowing?”

She shrugs, giving a playful smile. “Maybe I just missed you that much. Or maybe I got tired of the weird late-night room service on tour. Could go either way.”

She pulls a small bag out of her pocket. “Anyway, I brought snacks,” she says, holding it up like it’s the holy grail. “Also, I skipped dinner, so… you wanna raid the kitchen or what?”

You roll your eyes, laughing. “You’re supposed to be the famous one here, and I’m still feeding you?”

“Please,” she snorts, following you to the couch. “You know you missed my terrible eating habits.”

She pulls out some of your favorite snacks, along with a little souvenir from one of the cities she visited. “This one’s just something random, but it reminded me of you,” she says, handing it to you with a grin. “And before you ask, no, I didn’t overthink it. I just thought it was cute, okay?”

The next hour is filled with easy laughter and all the stories she didn’t get a chance to share over the phone. She tells you about tripping on stage, wild fan interactions, and the ridiculous things that happened during travel. She imitates a few fans who said the funniest things, making you laugh so hard your stomach hurts.

Then, just as you think the night couldn’t get any better, she gives you that familiar side-eye, grinning. “So, I wrote a song. Wanna hear it, or are you gonna make me beg?”

You try to keep a straight face. “I mean, I don’t know… is it any good?”

“Wow,” she laughs, grabbing her guitar. “The lack of faith here is, honestly, kinda offensive.”

She strums a soft melody, the lyrics weaving together all the little moments you’d shared, things only you two would understand. By the time she finishes, you’re completely blown away, left staring at her in awe.

“Alright, yeah, it’s fine, you can admit it’s genius,” she says, her voice teasing but her eyes full of warmth.

Instead of responding, you just lean over, pulling her into a kiss that says everything you couldn’t put into words.

As the night winds down, you end up cuddled together under a blanket, her arm around you, your head resting on her shoulder. Just before you drift off, she whispers, “Look, I’m here now. And I’m staying for a while, so no more lonely nights, okay?”

You smile, her warmth easing you into sleep as you hold on to the moment, feeling like you could stay wrapped in her forever.
