The stadium lights were bright, and the energy in the air was electric as Sabrina performed on stage, her voice filling the venue with every lyric. Her fans screamed and sang along, their enthusiasm matching her own as she moved across the stage, guitar in hand. It had been months since you’d last seen her, and being away from her for so long had been harder than either of you expected. You had planned this surprise for weeks, waiting for the perfect moment. And tonight, that moment had come. With the help of her team, you quietly slipped backstage, heart pounding with excitement as you watched her pour her heart into the performance.
As the final notes of her song rang out, Sabrina turned to address the crowd, her smile radiant but unaware of what was coming. “You guys are amazing! Seriously, I can't thank you enough for all the love and energy you’ve given me tonight.”
Taking a deep breath, you stepped onto the stage as her back was turned, the crowd erupting into cheers when they realized what was happening. Sabrina froze at the sound, her eyes widening in confusion as she glanced around to see what had caused the sudden uproar. And then she saw you.
Her face lit up in pure shock, her jaw dropping as her guitar nearly slipped from her hands. “Wait… wait, what?” she stammered, her eyes locking on yours as you smiled at her.
You waved, grinning from ear to ear, as you walked toward her. “Surprise!” you called out, your voice barely audible over the crowd’s cheers.
Sabrina’s hand flew to her mouth, and she immediately rushed over to you, wrapping her arms around you in a tight hug. “Oh my God! No way, no way, no way!” she laughed, her voice filled with disbelief and joy. “What are you doing here?!”
“I couldn’t stay away any longer,” you said into her ear, hugging her just as tightly. “I missed you so much.”
Sabrina pulled back slightly to look at you, her eyes bright and full of emotion. “I missed you too! Like, *so much.* You have no idea.” She kissed your cheek, then quickly turned to the audience with a beaming smile. “Yo, everyone—this is my girlfriend! I can’t believe she’s here right now! I’m, like, freaking out.”
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause, and Sabrina laughed, turning back to you with a grin that made your heart melt. “You seriously just made my whole night, maybe my whole tour.” She squeezed your hand, her thumb brushing over your knuckles. “I can’t believe you did this.”
You smiled, your heart swelling at the sight of her so happy. “I couldn’t miss this. I had to see you.”
Sabrina beamed at you, then playfully bumped her shoulder against yours. “Alright, you’re staying with me for the rest of the tour. Non-negotiable.”
Laughing, you nodded. “Deal.”
She gave you one last quick hug before turning back to the mic. “Okay, okay, I gotta finish this set now, but after this—we’re catching up properly!” She shot you a wink before stepping back to the center of the stage.
As Sabrina resumed her performance, you watched from the side, your heart full of love and pride. The months apart had been hard, but being there, seeing her so happy and in her element, made it all worth it.
