ZOE'S POV

“You know, Zoe” Tasha began, “I've been thinking about taking up a new hobby. Something exciting and daring”

Kian is sleeping while Dione was out for awhile.

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Ano nanaman yan?”

She leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “I want to become a professional skydiver”

I nearly choked on my lemonade, sputtering in surprise. “Skydiving? Are you out of your mind? That's absolutely crazy!”

She just laughed, waving off my concern. “ It'll be the thrill of a lifetime. Just imagine soaring through the sky like a bird, the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. It'll be amazing!”

She seems happy.

I shook my head, disbelief written all over my face. “I  don't know, Tasha. It sounds incredibly dangerous. What if something goes wrong?”

She shrugged nonchalantly. “ What's life without a little adventure? Besides, I'll make sure to pack a parachute just in case”

As the sun began to dip below the horizon and the sky painted itself in hues of pink and orange, we sat in a comfortable silence, content in each other's company.

I was walking at the hall nang may makita akong coffee shop. Bago lang yata 'to?

Curiosity piqued, I made my way over to the coffee shop. The moment I stepped through the door, the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me. A barista behind the counter greeted me with a warm smile.

“Welcome to Coco's Café! What can I get for you today?” the barista asked cheerfully.

I  scanned the menu board, my eyes widening in delight. “I'll have a caramel macchiato, please!” I said eagerly.

As I waited for my drink, I couldn't help but notice the eclectic decor of the coffee shop. Colorful paintings adorned the walls, mismatched chairs and tables filled the space, and a quirky display of vintage coffee mugs lined the shelves.

When my drink was ready, I took a sip and let out a contented sigh. The rich, velvety coffee warmed me from the inside out. I settled into a cozy armchair by the window, watching the waves crash against the shore.

I felt a sense of gratitude for stumbling upon the quirky little coffee shop and the colorful characters that had filled it. It had been an unexpected detour from my evening walk on the beach, but one that had brought my unexpected joy and laughter.

With a contented sigh, I continued my leisurely stroll along the shore, feeling lighter and more energized than before. Habang naglalakad ako, my phone vibrated for a moment.

Her emotions boiled over as she sees me. In a fit of rage, Without thinking, she doused the door with the gasoline and lit a match.

“What are you doing?!” a voice shouted from behind her. It was me, my eyes wide with shock as I realized what she had done.
