It had been a week since Akshara was admitted to the hospital, and today, she was finally getting discharged. A lot had happened during this time. Abhir, who had been upset with Akshara after discovering her wedding pictures with Abhimanyu, had now completely let go of his anger. He hadn’t brought up the old incident once and was instead focusing on her well-being.

Abhimanyu, on the other hand, had become her personal shadow. Every moment, he ensured she ate and drank properly, often visiting her in the hospital multiple times a day. Even at home, his behavior was uncharacteristically obedient—he wouldn’t refuse anything anyone said, whether it was about eating or sleeping. The Goenka family, too, left no stone unturned in taking care of Akshara.

Swarna, who usually found time to think about Aarohi, was now entirely consumed with Akshara's health. Suhasini Ji had organized so many prayers and rituals during this week that no one could keep count. Manish, despite his busy work schedule in Delhi, visited Akshara daily, sharing old memories to cheer her up.

As for Akshara's brothers—Kairav, Krish, and Vansh—they had practically taken over the hospital. They pampered her, scolded her when necessary, and ensured she followed all the doctor’s instructions. Despite their strictness, Akshara’s tantrums had only increased. She frequently refused hospital food, demanding spicy snacks instead, but in the end, she always ended up eating boiled vegetables.

Samaira, Keesha, and Arshiya tried their best to shield Akshara from her brothers' scolding, but nothing worked. The three brothers always had the final say.

Now, speaking of Dr. Abhimanyu Birla—he had practically declared himself Akshara’s personal physician. He monitored everything, from her medicines to her water intake, from her meals to her sleep. Every little sneeze or cough of hers was his concern. His daily routine consisted of checking on her first thing in the morning, feeding her, giving her medicines, and repeating the same during lunch and dinner. Even at night, he wouldn’t rest without ensuring she had her medications and food.

However, there was one awkward incident between them during this week—a kiss. Since that moment, Akshara had stopped talking to him properly. Every time Abhimanyu tried to speak to her, she would respond sarcastically or with a snide remark, leaving him confused and wondering what he had done wrong.

During this week, other visitors came to see Akshara too. Parth and Shefali’s visit had brought her great joy, and even Mahima, who worked in the same hospital, dropped by regularly.

The most surprising visitor, however, was Manjari Devi herself. While her visit gave the impression of a changed heart, her true intentions lay elsewhere. She wasn’t there for Akshara but for Arshiya. Ever since she had seen Arshiya’s brother Karan in the hospital, her interest in the family had piqued. Her overly sweet behavior with Arshiya left Akshara puzzled, but soon, Manjari’s visits ceased after a day or two.

TODAY

Akshara was ecstatic about going home. Hospital food and her "personal doctor" Abhimanyu had drained her patience.

“Finally!” she thought to herself. No more bland food. No more medicines every three hours. And definitely no more 24/7 surveillance by Dr. Abhimanyu.

But little did she know, her family at home wouldn’t let her have her way either. As the discharge papers were signed, Akshara sighed with relief, blissfully unaware of the next set of challenges awaiting her back at home.

As Abhimanyu signed the discharge papers, he turned to Akshara, his expression serious but gentle. “Akshara, listen to me carefully,” he began. “You need to take care of yourself properly. You’re not fully recovered yet, and it’s going to take some more time. The accident caused significant injuries. And please, don’t think of yourself as a doctor. A lot of people make the mistake of assuming that they can treat themselves just because they know a little about medicine. That’s completely wrong.”
