As Akshara entered the tent, the heat was almost unbearable, and the smoke stung her eyes, but she pushed through, driven by sheer determination. She reached Abhimanyu and the child. Just then, she heard frantic voices behind her; the child's parents had arrived, searching desperately for their little one.
With the child now in her arms, Akshara quickly turned to the parents. "Your baby is safe," she said, her voice steady despite the chaos. The parents, overwhelmed with relief, thanked her profusely.
"Thank you, thank you so much!" the mother cried, taking the child from Akshara's arms.
"Please, get to safety," Akshara urged them. "I need to help him," she added, glancing back at Abhimanyu.
Akshara's heart raced as she knelt beside Abhimanyu. She gently shook him, trying to rouse him. "Abhimanyu, wake up! Please, you have to wake up!" she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear.
There was no response. Panic began to set in, but Akshara forced herself to stay calm. "I won't leave you here," she whispered, determination hardening her resolve.
She checked his pulse; it was weak but present. "Okay, you're still with me," she muttered, trying to stay positive. "Come on, Abhimanyu, I need you to wake up!"
She shook him again, more urgently this time. "You can't leave me, do you hear me? You're stronger than this. Please... just open your eyes!"
But Abhimanyu remained unconscious, his face pale.
Akshara thought for a moment, knowing she couldn't carry him alone. "I need help," she whispered, glancing towards the exit. But she couldn't just leave him here.
Suddenly, she heard the crackling of more wood as the flames began to consume the tent. Time was running out. "Abhimanyu, you have to fight! You have to wake up!" she cried out, her voice breaking.
Desperate, Akshara leaned closer to him. "You promised me, remember? You promised you'd never leave me. So don't you dare break that promise now!"
