The next day dawns with Akshara and Abhimanyu standing at the door, of Goenka Villa with Akshara’s bags packed beside her.
As they stand there, Kairav spots Akshara from the living room and calls out to everyone. Krish and Vansh rush in, and upon seeing Akshara, they run to her and hug her tightly. Akshara smiles, feeling happy to be with her brothers again.
Abhimanyu watches from the side, smiling softly. His thoughts drift, "First because of Aarohi, then once because of Anisha, and once because of me... you’ve been separated from your family before. But this time, I won’t let it happen again, especially not because of Mrs. Birla’s madness."
Just then, Kairav turns to Akshara, “Akshu, we thought you’d stay away from us again. We were scared that another problem would arise, just like before, and we didn’t know if Abhir would react like Aarohi did with you.”
Akshara reassures him, “Never, Bhaiya. I won’t let that happen again.”
Krish adds, “Yeah, Akshu, Kairav is right. We were really worried. But honestly, I’m glad you changed your mind and came back here.”
Akshara smiles and glances back at Abhimanyu. Her mind flashes back to the previous day when, despite Abhimanyu’s countless efforts to convince her, she broke down, kneeling on the floor and crying. She finally broke down, her voice shaking, “I don’t want to lose my son... He’s all I have left.” Her sobs echoed in the room as she buried her face in her hands, feeling utterly helpless.
Abhimanyu, standing by the door, rushed to her side the moment she crumbled. He knelt down in front of her, his hands gently cupping her face, “Akshu, look at me. Look at me.” She hesitated, but his voice was so tender that she lifted her tear-stained face to meet his eyes.
His gaze was soft but determined, “You’re not going to lose Abhir. I won’t let that happen, okay? Not this time. I’ll fight for you both, I promise.”
Akshara shook her head, her tears falling again. “But what if… what if he chooses them over me? What if I’m not enough?” Her voice cracked with the weight of her fear.
Abhimanyu’s expression softened even more, and he reached out, holding her hands firmly. “You are more than enough, Akshu. You’ve always been enough. Abhir loves you—he needs you. No one can ever take your place in his heart.”
He gently wiped away her tears with his thumb, “You’re his mother, and no one can change that. Not my mother, not me, no one. I know things have been hard, and I know you’ve been carrying so much pain. But we’ll fix this, together.”
Akshara’s sobs quieted as she listened to him. Abhimanyu continued, his voice a soothing balm, “I’ve hurt you before, and I can never undo those mistakes. But this time, I’m not leaving your side. We’ll show Abhir the truth, and he’ll understand. We’ll be a family again.”
She looked at him, her tears still flowing but her heart lighter. His words brought a sense of calm she hadn’t felt in a long time. “How can you be so sure?” she whispered, her voice still fragile.
Abhimanyu smiled softly, “Because I know you, Akshu. You’re the strongest person I know. You’ve fought through everything life threw at you, and you’re still standing. You can do this. And I’ll be right here with you.”
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a warm embrace. She leaned into him, her tears finally slowing as she found solace in his words and the comfort of his presence.
“We’ll do this together,” he whispered against her hair. “We’ll bring our son back, I promise.”
Back in the present, Kairav turns to Abhimanyu and says, “Thank you, Abhimanyu, for bringing my sister back home.”
Abhimanyu smiles slightly, ready to brush it off, but then Kairav adds, “Otherwise, you used to be the one to drive my sister out of the house.”
Abhimanyu’s smile falters for a moment, feeling a slight sting at the remark.Vansh jumps in, “Okay, okay! Enough of all this talk. Now, let’s focus on what we need to do next. How are we going to get Abhir to listen to us?”
Akshara speaks up, “I’ve already decided what to do.”
“Oh really? And what exactly is that?” Krish and Vansh ask in unison.
Akshara smirks, “You’ll find out in time. For now, just be patient.”
Kairav, however, keeps insisting, wanting to know the plan. Before Akshara can respond, Abhimanyu cuts in, “Just wait! Don’t you have anything else to do? Why don’t you go talk to your fiancée or something?”
Kairav and Akshara both glare at Abhimanyu, who nervously looks at Akshara, “I-I was just explaining your situation to him, that’s all.” The scene turns a bit light-hearted, and Krish and Vansh laugh.
Vansh then says, “Alright, enough of this! Let’s all go inside. We’ve been standing out here long enough.”
Everyone starts heading inside, except for Abhimanyu, who lingers at the door. Akshara turns back, “Why are you standing out there? Are you not coming in?”
Abhimanyu, trying to tease, replies, “Well, I don’t think I should. If I’m always sitting in my in-laws’ house, what will people say?”
Akshara raises her eyebrow and looks at him challengingly. Abhimanyu, catching on, responds with a cheeky grin, “Oh wait, did you forget? Our divorce hasn’t happened yet.”
Akshara, not backing down, smirks, “Then you definitely have the right to come inside. And since when do you care what the people says?” After a bit more playful banter, they both head inside.
Once inside, they gather with the family and begin discussing their plan to win Abhir over. It was the perfect time to plan, as Abhir had gone out with Keesha.
The family loves the idea, but for the plan to work, Abhimanyu needed to stay at Goenka Villa. Though most of the family agreed, Devyani, Rajshri, Vishambhar, and Varsha were uncomfortable with the idea.
They worried that Abhimanyu might behave like his mother, Manjari, and turn Abhir against Akshara. They didn’t voice these concerns in front of everyone, but later, they privately pulled Akshara aside to discuss it.
Akshara tried to reassure them, “If Abhimanyu wanted to take Abhir away from me, he wouldn’t have stood up against Manjari in court.”
But the four still weren’t convinced. They didn’t want to discourage Akshara, so they said, “You do what you think is best. We won’t say anything, but this was just our advice. And anyway, we’re leaving soon.”
Akshara, surprised, asked, “Leaving? Why?” They explained, “Akshu, dear, it’s been a long time since we’ve been here. We have to return; the house is empty back home.”
Concerned, Akshara asked, “Are you leaving because of Abhimanyu staying here?”
They quickly reassured her, “No, no, dear. We wouldn’t do that. We had already decided to leave yesterday. We just didn’t get a chance to tell you because you weren’t here. You can ask Manish Ji; we’ve already discussed it with him.”
Akshara tried her best to convince them to stay, but in the end, they remained firm in their decision to leave.
