Hours had passed since [Y/N]'s enlightenment on Dark's role, yet the two still remained in the library.

It was silent, for the most part, as the female sat on the ground. Books of various titles sat around her, some open, others closed. All the books around her were grabbed after she opened the one in her lap.

Hyrule Historia

It was on the history of Hyrule, and seeing how thick the binding was, there was a wide range of time it covered. But something she noticed was there were pieces missing. Pieces of certain points of view were nonexistent. The book also seemed quite old but held text of recent events. Picking up the book, she stood and slowly made her way towards the book nook.

"Hey Dark," [Y/N] called out in the silence.

"What is it?" The man responded nonchalantly from his position at his desk.

"How old is this book?" She asked, showing the cover to her companion.

"Thousands," he stated. "Why do you ask?"

"I just wondered, if it's so old, how are there topics about more recent history?"

"That's simple," Dark started. "I add to it. I have been for a long time."

[Y/N] looked at the man. She was confused, but also intrigued by the answer she received.

"Mind if I ask how?"

"Well, some of it is from first hand. Other things are from other groups of people or pieces of text or records I come across." The dark skinned being informed.

The female looked down at the book, a thought coming to mind. A moment passed before she spoke.

"Could I help?"

Dark sat up.

"You want to add to it? Your experiences?"

She nodded. "I would hate for there to sections missing."

The male smiled. Opening a few drawers he pulled out more pages of paper and writing utensils. Setting them on the table he skooched his chair out. He stood up and moved towards the female.

"Would like to write?" he asked calmly.

[Y/N] was silent, watching Dark as he moved. She watched as he ushered a hand towards the desk he previously sat at. She then nodded.

Dark held out his hands, motioning for her to hand him the book, which she did before going to sit down. She was slightly shocked by how comfortable the chair was, from the looks of it, it seemed to be the opposite.

"Would you like the book to keep reference of what's recorded and what's not?" Dark asked.

"If that's okay," [Y/N] responded.

He smiled softly. "Of course it is. Do you prefer to be crammed or spread out when writing?"

The question took her aback. At the same time, the question made her feel warm. He was asking her preferences, to make her comfortable in her unfamiliar environment, and stood patiently waiting for an answer.

"Um, spread out," she hesitantly responded.

"That's what I thought. Just making sure." With that said, Dark sat the book down in front of the female. He then turned and took a few steps, stopping in front of another table. Without second thought, Dark placed his hands around the edges of the table and lifted. He picked it up with ease and placed it in front of the other desk, scooting it to touch it. Thus, this gave [Y/N] more room to spread out.

"Better?" He asked.

"Yes. Much. Thank you."

Dark walked away, disappearing to the area [Y/N] previously sat on the floor. The female followed the male's figure out of sight. Minutes passed by and hadn't returned. She turned her attention to the large history book. Opening it, she flipped to a page and read the number in the bottom corner. Only having to flip a handful of pages, she arrived back to the spot she was reading and delved back in to the knowledge.

Minutes later, she noticed a large stack of books slide onto the desk. Looking up, she found Dark.

"Uh, sorry," he apologized. "I didn't mean to interrupt. I just thought that you would want the other books you were looking at. I made sure to mark the locations in the books where you were reading."

"You didn't have to-"

"I know but- I figured it would be easier for you to have them all here instead of you having to make the multiple trips," Dark explained.

"I appreciate it," [Y/N] said.

Silence fell between them. It was tainted with discomfort and a bit of awkwardness. It was broken rather quickly as the gray skinned man let out a soft cough.

"Well, I'll leave you to it," Dark stated. He then rotated towards the door, proceeding to leave. After the click of the latch resonated quietly, [Y/N] was left to her own thoughts.

[Y/N] looked down at the paper stack in front of her.

"Where to start," she muttered to herself. She sighed. "Guess I'll just start at the beginning. Picking up a pen she connected it to the paper. Moving her hand for the first stroke for the first letter, she began to write.
