[Y/N] wandered the halls of the dark mansion. She was starting to get a little bored with just reading books everyday. Dark had told her at point that she was free to roam and explore the various rooms in the building and if she needed something to simply call out for him and he would be there.
The halls were quiet which were both calming and eerie at the same time. The only sound heard came from her shoes coming in contact with floor.
As she walked, she glanced at the doors lining the walls. She had looked at them before when she traversed from the library, to her room, and downstairs to the dinning room, but never really paid them much attention. Like she had noted before, some doors were simple while others, like the library doors, were more intricate.
One of the intricate doors that intrigued her was the one with the triforce on it, with the middle and bottom left triangles glowing dark red and green respectively. After staring at it for moment, she placed her hand on the knob and attempted to turn it. It, however, didn't budge. She tried again but got the same result. Letting go, the female gazed at the silver knob then back at the door itself. Clearly, it was locked.
She found it odd that it was locked as Dark hadn't mentioned there being rooms she wouldn't be allowed access to. This spiked her curiosity as things that were locked typically hid something deemed important. She was about to call for the shadow being but stopped herself. Perhaps this room held something that the man wished to keep from her for her own safety. The thought didn't really dim her curiosity but she figured that Dark must have his reasons so it was best to leave it alone. Everyone is entitled to their privacy especially in their own home.
Backing away from the door she moved down to the end of the hallway. The rest of the doors were plain and blank except for one at the very end.
The last door was wide and made from a rather light colored wood. On it, there were carvings of horizontal lines grouped in fives and evenly spaced down it. Small dots littered the various lines and spaces between them. The door's frame was rather wavy.
Another wave of curiosity filled her.
She grabbed the handle and turned it. To her slight surprise, the handle did indeed turn. With little effort, [Y/N] pushed the door opened.
The room was dark for a moment until she took a step in. Candelabras lit on their own and brought light to the room. Stepping all the way in, she closed the door behind her.
Glancing around, the female observed various musical instruments. A lyre was displayed on a stand. Multiple types of batons hung from an open display case. A few different guitars leaned against a rack. Some drums of differing size sat in a corner. An accordion sat on a table. At the far wall was a group of different types of wind instruments. In another corner sat a large grand piano. Off to one side sat a collection of mallet instruments like a marimba and xylophone. Music stands littered the room and book shelves held folders and books of what she assumed were sheet music.
At the sight of the room's interior, the design on its door made sense. It was clearly representing a piece of sheet music with lines of music staff covered with notes. She honestly felt a little dumb for not piecing it together at the get go.
The H/C walked around the room and gazed at the instruments. Like everything else in the mansion, they appeared to be in crystal condition. She couldn't help but run her fingers along the strings of the lyre on display. Thankfully for her ears, none of them were out of tune.
Looking at her surroundings better, she noticed more instruments like brass horns and tubas and even string instruments such as violins and cellos. Even an arrange of music boxes sat on shelves. She wondered for a moment where all of the instruments and collection of music came from but immediately came to the conclusion that, like the media in the library, Dark must have accumulated it all over a matter of time.
