It had been some time since [Y/N] and Dark had their little "encounter" in the music room. For the first few days, the female felt awkward around her host, but it wasn't bad and went away after she realized that he didn't feel any different about her.

[Y/N] was back in the music room once again. The only thing new was that she asked if Dark would be willing to accompany her. When he was asked, he couldn't hide the smile that spread across his face. He didn't even attempt to hold back with how big it was. The smile wasn't cheesy or forced and the female could tell, it making her smile as well.

They sat and discussed a variety of music related things, but it was mostly the H/C asking the albino questions.

"I know that you said you collected your array of materials in the library over time. Is it the same for your collection of music and instruments?" she asked.

Dark nodded his head in confirmation.

"Correct," he stated. He knew there were more inquiries floating in her head, so he decided to try and answer those unspoken questions. "If there is anything more powerful in this world than words, it is music. As I'm sure you know, music is able to make animals, humans, and even bugs feel things, whereas words only have a similar effect in specific cases. In the same respect, I find that music compositions are no different from a paragraph of words or even a single sentence.

Certain notes need to be placed with, beside, and around other certain notes to give the correct feeling the composer wishes to express. With writing a sentence or paragraph you need certain words around each other to relate the feeling or purpose.

If you wanted the listener of your piece of music to feel a sense of sadness or a darker tone it is best achieved through minor chords. You wouldn't place a major chord as the harmony to a minor key melody. It simply wouldn't sound right." He stopped and paused for a moment.

"Unless, I suppose, you are trying to attempt to relay that two things are happening at the same time where the melody is in a major key, giving a happier feeling, with minor chords as the harmony as if saying that the lively melody has a darker background or is hiding something darker..."

He then shook his head slightly with a soft laugh and brief shrug of his shoulders.

"To achieve that kind of effect perfectly would be an entirely different topic on its own. That is probably why most composers avoid doing anything remotely close to that."

[Y/N] smiled, an idea coming to her. She stood up, drawing her companion's attention, and moved over towards the piano. She lifted the fallboard to reveal the keys. Taking a few seconds she glazed over the white and black keys in pristine condition. Hovering her left hand over the C3 octave she hovered her right hand over the C4 octave. She played a minor chord with her left hand and simple major scale with her right hand.

She tired different variations: changing the minor chord, playing chord twice, playing one chord then a different chord, shifting the key of the major scale, and even changing the tempo. She grimaced a few times. It didn't matter what variation she did, it just didn't sound right. It didn't portray a theme of joy with underlying sadness. It just simply sounded atrocious.

Dark laughed as the woman shook her head in defeat.

"I don't think what you said would ever be possible," [Y/N] stated.

"Perhaps not. It was just an idea after all," the pale man commented.

"I'm sorry, I interrupted you by doing that," the H/C apologized as she sat back down in her chair.

The shadow man sighed.

"Haven't I told you already, there is no need for you to apologize to me, for anything you do."
