Rose walked over to her closet and pulled out an imperial sword, observing it with great interest.
"Alright, this shall be your sword. How does that sound, Dorothy?" Rose asked Dorothy before walking over to show her the sword.
Seeing this made Dorothy think to herself for a moment before she finally responded.
"R-Really? I'm sure the sword had to choose its owner, correct? I remember Keiko telling me about it." Dorothy responded in a curious voice, hoping to find a clear answer on the matter.
"You're right and that's why I'm giving you this sword, but before I do, I should tell you about this sword." Rose responded to Dorothy while she walked over to sit across from her, ready to tell her about the sword.
Once Rose sat down, Dorothy positioned herself in front of her, eager to learn about the sword.
"I would love to hear about the sword, Rose." Dorothy spoke out in an intrigued voice, ready to hear about the story.
Soon after, Rose slowly got comfortable in her seat before finally telling Dorothy about her new sword.
"Alright, this sword was originally forged by me as a gift to the former ruler of Oz, you've met him before, Oscar Diggs." Rose explained to Dorothy and this revelation surprised Dorothy and Betsy as they had surprised looks on their faces.
"Wait, this sword was meant for Oscar, the former Wizard of Oz? That's incredible but how did it end up back in your possession?" Dorothy asked Rose in a curious voice, eager to know more as her expression became more focused while Betsy nodded in agreement.
"I'm curious as well. I've heard stories of Oscar's days of ruling Oz from Dorothy so I'm also curious to know more." Betsy chimed into the conversation, also eager to know more.
After hearing both responses from the girls, Rose nodded in confirmation before resuming her story.
"I made the sword as a means for him to defend himself against Mombi, The Wicked Witch of the East, and The Wicked Witch of the West. My sister and her two friends knew Oscar was a fraud so they threatened to kill him and take over Oz." Rose explained to the girls, taking a sip of coffee from her mug before resuming the story.
"Then one day, Oscar sought out my assistance, hoping for me to forge him a sword, and being the kind woman, I agreed to this, unfortunately, the sword didn't choose him and that's because he was unworthy of so the sword was useless to him, later on, Oscar was visited by the Wicked Witch of the West, and to make a long story short, Oscar gave away the sword in exchange of his secret being kept under wraps.." Rose continued to explain to the girls, taking another sip of coffee while the girls were intrigued by the new information given to them.
"So it was originally meant to be Oscar's sword but he wasn't worthy so instead he traded in the sword in exchange for his life being spared, right? How interesting indeed. Did the witch know of its power?" Dorothy asked Rose in a curious voice, eager to know more about everything.
After the question, Rose nodded in confirmation before speaking once more.
"Yes, The Wicked Witch of the West knew of its power, she wanted more than just her magic when it was time to conquer Oz alongside my sister and the Witch of the East; however, she found out that she wasn't worthy as well so she simply put it away, hoping that she'll eventually become worthy." Rose responded once more as things were becoming more clearer for Dorothy.
