Asmodeus stood early in the morning in a secluded garden of the heavenly palace, surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle babbling of a nearby stream. The morning sun had only just risen, bathing the surroundings in a warm, golden light. In the midst of this idyllic scenery, Asmodeus was able to devote himself to a distraction from his confused thoughts.

Tai chi.

He stood upright, his feet firmly planted on the ground, and let his arms hang gently at his sides. As always with this sport, he had made his wings disappear by pulling them into his back. His breathing was calm and even as he concentrated on the exercises. With flowing movements, he began to raise his arms while simultaneously shifting his weight from one leg to the other. Each movement was slow and controlled, in harmony with the rhythm of his breathing.

His movements were like an elegant choreography characterized by centuries of wisdom and harmony. His arms moved like flowing water as he absorbed the energy around him and channeled it through his body. His facial expression was concentrated and focused as he concentrated fully on the practice.

Asmodeus' body was in perfect balance, each movement executed with an ease that could only be achieved through years of training.

As he moved through the various Tai Chi poses, he was able to gradually release the tension and stress of the past day from his body. Each movement helped him to calm his mind and clear his thoughts as he concentrated on the here and now. Even though his head had been full of worry about Soles, whom he hadn't seen for several days.

Had he taken his statement to stay away too seriously?

They had not seen each other since their last meeting with the awkward conversation and Asmodeus wondered if this conversation had led to a break in their friendship.

Uncertainty gnawed at Asmodeus as he continued his tai chi exercises. He couldn't help but worry about Soles and wonder how much he had hurt him. Despite his attempts to keep his distance, he couldn't ignore the depth of emotion Soles was feeling.

The sun slowly rose higher in the sky, and Asmodeus felt the warmth gently envelop his skin. It was a calming presence that helped him clear his mind and focus on the here and now. When he finished his tai chi, he felt refreshed and invigorated. The worries and fears that had weighed him down before had faded into the background for a moment, but they quickly caught up with him again.

Determined, Asmodeus made his way back to the palace. He would face Soles and face the unpleasant conversation again.

Because no matter what had happened, their friendship was too important to him to simply give up on it.

He would be able to overlook the fact that Soles had tried to kiss him and would not tell anyone, even though he was aware that his friend must feel the worst here.

When Asmodeus reached the palace, he could already hear a few angels whispering. Women sitting on the stairs gave him a furtive glance, whispered and gossiped, and Asmodeus felt immediately uncomfortable. He had learned to ignore the subtle glances and whispers of the other angels, but today the attention on him seemed more intense than usual. He forced himself to push the thoughts aside and concentrate on his goal: the conversation with Soles.
