The conversation between the two had come to nothing. Her mood was a little depressed and Seohee didn't know how to deal with the angel. When it came to sweet talking, her brother was clearly the better choice, but he wasn't here at the moment and she didn't want to start a discussion with Asmodeus. So the daughter raised her hand and beckoned two people to join them. The woman with long, wavy hair sat down flirtatiously next to the angel and placed her hand on Asmodeus' chest.
"Hey, cutie," the stripper greeted him cheekily.
Asmodeus immediately felt nervousness stirring in him. His expression darkened slightly as he received her gesture with mixed feelings. He was not used to receiving such direct advances in public and felt uncomfortable in this situation. Nevertheless, he tried not to let it show so as not to make a strange impression on Seohee. "Hello," he replied curtly but politely, his eyes wandering back to Benjamin's sister and seeing her scrutinizing his reaction while one of the male strippers had taken a seat next to her.
"Ah, would you like to go somewhere a little quieter?" the scantily clad lady asked quietly, almost drowned out by the music.
Still, her voice didn't seem subtle enough, as the shadow leaning over her seemed to somehow threaten mischief. "Thank you, but I will take you up on that offer," Benjamin announced with a polite smile on his lips as he held out his hand for Asmodeus to take.
The angel exhaled with relief and immediately reached for the proffered hand. At that moment, he didn't care if it was too conspicuous. He just wanted to get away from the stranger before she ate him like her supper. "Offer accepted," Asmodeus slurred and slid off his stool.
"Oops," the Morningstar greeted the drunken angel and propped him up so that he didn't stumble over the floor. "I see you've already had a taste of the bar."
Benjamin's gaze wandered to the stripper, who had gone straight on to the next customer after her rebuff. She didn't seem to mind, it was her job after all, but it annoyed him that his sister had set this situation up and now didn't even notice his presence.
"I've only tasted a few red devils," Asmodeus chuckled, holding on to Benjamin as if he could be his only support. He was overjoyed to see him and couldn't stop giggling. Now that he had stood up, the alcohol seemed to be getting into his bloodstream even faster.
This state of affairs worried Benjamin a little and his forehead creased slightly.
It was a dangerous situation for Asmodeus and if he hadn't gotten the message from Cassandra, it would probably have taken him longer to show up at the club. "A few hours longer and you would have had a few more," Benjamin replied, not referring to the cocktails, but wondering where he should take the Seraph now.
"A few dozen," Asmodeus added with a proud undertone. "It's funny, because I've never not been drunk. Oh, I mean, never! Part of growing up, I guess," he grumbled, thinking of Benjamin's words. "Right?"
