Freen thought that if she finds Becky everything will go back to normal, but boy, was she wrong.

Hours after their long awaited reunion, they are now inside Freen's room throwing awkward glances at each other. Faye and their other friends who came by earlier upon knowing Becky's back already left. They are now finally alone with their sleeping child, comfortably cuddling her favorite stuffed toy on her crib.

Freen is now in a dilemma, silently cursing herself for buying a single bedroom house. Well, you can't blame her. She never actually thought she'll need another room in the house, as a well-known bachelorette who believed she'll never marry. But, what a joke, right?

The silence in the room was broken only by the soft breaths of Jisoo, nestled securely in her crib. Freen couldn’t stop gazing at Becky and their daughter, her heart swelling with an overwhelming mixture of gratitude and love. The weight of everything—the mistakes, the heartbreak, the separation—felt distant now, replaced by the warmth of their newfound resolve.

Becky rested her head on Freen’s shoulder, her fingers lightly tracing the curve of Jisoo’s cheek. “You know,” she began softly, “this feels… unreal. Like a dream I’ve had too many times before.”

Freen turned her head to meet Becky’s eyes, her expression earnest. “It’s real, bb. And I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure it stays that way. No more running. No more hiding. Just us.”

Becky smiled, her tears glistening under the dim light. “You better mean that. Because you don’t get to back out now. You’re stuck with us, Sarocha.”

“Stuck?” Freen chuckled, the sound light and genuine for the first time in what felt like forever. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Their laughter mingled, light and free, as if it carried away all the pain they had endured. Jisoo stirred, her tiny hands reaching out as if she sensed the love radiating from her parents. Freen leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss on her daughter’s forehead.

“She’s perfect,” Freen whispered.

“She is,” Becky agreed, her voice filled with awe. She glanced at Freen, a teasing smile on her lips. “Must’ve gotten that from me.”

Freen rolled her eyes playfully. “Sure, bb. Let’s go with that.”

They both laughed again, their joy filling the room. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, the house wasn’t just a structure—it was a home, alive with love and hope.

As the night deepened, Freen awkwardly grabbed a pillow and a blanket, about to leave her room to give the younger girl some privacy for the night.

"Uh, where are you going, Phi?" Becky asked, before she can exit the room.

"I... uhm... I thought I'd sleep on the couch tonight, so you won't get uncomfortable," Free replied; scratching her non-itchy forehead.

"Why? Do I make you uncomfortable? I can stay in the living room instead, if that's the case?" Sadly heading to the door.

"What? No! No... I... Please, don't misunderstand, bb. I... It's just that... *Sigh* I only have one room, as you know, and I just didn't think you would want to sleep beside me, well, after everything that happened."

Freen hung her head low, with a hint of guilt and embarrassment. Only to look up upon hearing a muffled giggle from her "best friend". Well, she's not that sure if she can still only call her that, with the circumstances that they're in.

"Are you laughing at me?" Freen asked with a pout.

"Hey! Stop that. You look like a duck!" Becky said, hitting the older girl's arm. "And for the record, I have no issue with sleeping on the same bed with you. Really, phi? We already have Jisoo, so why would I be shy? So, come on, lie beside me," she continues, patting the space beside her.

Freen, though hesitant, followed the girl's request, putting her pillow and blanket back, carefully lying beside the younger.

Eventually, Becky rested her head against Freen’s chest, Jisoo sleeping soundly on her own space. Freen wrapped her arms around her, after a while, her heart full. It feels just like the old times, when everything just stops, and they are in their own little bubble.

“I don't know if I still have the right to say this, but love you, bb. I'm sorry for realizing it too late,” Freen whispered, her voice steady with conviction. “And I promise to prove it to you every single day.”

Becky closed her eyes, a peaceful smile on her face. “I love you too, Phi. Always.”

And in that moment, surrounded by the quiet hum of the night and the warmth of their love, they knew they were finally home.
