The days following Becky’s acceptance of Freen’s proposal were filled with a quiet joy. They decided to keep the news to themselves for a little while, wanting to savor the moment without the distractions of planning and announcements. Freen, however, couldn’t help but start brainstorming ideas for the perfect proposal, something grander and more meaningful than the spontaneous car moment. She wanted to give Becky a memory she would cherish forever.

---

It was yet again one lazy morning for the newly engaged couple. Freen woke up early to find her soon-to-be wife, Becky, cuddled to her, practically laying on top of her body, but honestly, Freen couldn't care less. She loved feeling the warmth of her lover whenever they lay like that. She felt safe. She felt like she was exactly where she was supposed to be.

She lingered on the embrace before carefully slipping out of the bed, making sure not to wake the sleepyhead up in the process. Then, she quickly went to their daughter's crib beside their bed.

"Theirs." She loves how that sound. She can't believe how she never imagined/wanted to spend her life with someone before, because now, she knows she can no longer live without Becky and their daughter.

Upon seeing the peacefully sleeping toddler, she proceeded to kiss Jisoo's forehead gently, then walking to her mother's side to do the same, before heading out.

---

One evening, as Becky played with Jisoo in the living room, Freen slipped out of the house under the pretense of running errands. She had secretly enlisted her sister, Faye, and friends, Heng, Nam, and Mind to help her plan the surprise proposal.

“Are you sure about this, Freen?” Nam asked as they sat in Freen’s office, surrounded by sketches, flower samples, and pictures of venues.

“Of course, I’m sure,” Freen replied with a grin. “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. Becky deserves something special, something that shows her how much I love her.”

Mind and the others smiled, clapping Freen on the back. “Well, you’ve got us to help. Let’s make it unforgettable.”

They planned meticulously over the next few days. Freen rented out a beautiful garden venue overlooking the city skyline, where string lights and candles would create a romantic atmosphere. She picked out Becky’s favorite flowers—roses, with her favorite, tulips—and hired a live band to play soft acoustic music. Every detail was chosen with care, from the menu to the colors of the decorations.

Finally, the day of the proposal arrived. Freen told Becky they were going to a business dinner, making sure Nam and Mind would babysit Jisoo for the evening. Becky, completely unsuspecting, dressed in a simple but elegant dress Freen had left for her.

“Wow,” Freen said when Becky walked into the room, her voice filled with awe. “You look stunning, bb.”

Becky laughed, brushing off the compliment. “You’re just saying that. You look amazing too.”

They drove to the venue, Becky growing more curious with each passing minute. “This is kind of far for a business dinner, isn’t it?” she asked, glancing at Freen.

“Patience, bb,” Freen replied with a playful smile. “You’ll see.”

When they arrived, Becky’s breath hitched. The garden was breathtaking, illuminated by hundreds of fairy lights and candles. The gentle hum of acoustic music floated through the air, and the scent of fresh flowers surrounded them.

“Freen… what is this?” Becky whispered, her hand tightening around Freen’s.

“This,” Freen said, guiding Becky toward the center of the garden, “is for you.”

As they reached the heart of the setup, Freen dropped to one knee, pulling out a small velvet box from her pocket. Inside was a delicate ring adorned with a simple yet stunning diamond.

“Becky Armstrong,” Freen began, her voice steady but filled with emotion, “I’ve made so many mistakes, but loving you was never one of them. You are my heart, my home, and the reason I strive to be better every day. I promise to love you, to cherish you, and to stand by your side for the rest of our lives. Will you marry me?”

Tears streamed down Becky’s face as she nodded, unable to speak for a moment. “Yes,” she finally said, her voice trembling. “Yes, Freen. A thousand times, yes.”

Freen slid the ring onto Becky’s finger, standing to pull her into a tight embrace. The band began playing their favorite song, and Freen took Becky’s hand, leading her into a slow dance under the stars.

Later that night, they returned home to find Nam and Mind waiting with Jisoo, who had stayed up past her bedtime.

“So?” Nam asked with a smirk. “How’d it go?”

Becky held up her hand, the ring glinting under the light. “It was perfect.”

Jisoo babbled excitedly, reaching for her mothers. Freen scooped her up, pressing a kiss to her tiny forehead.

“Looks like Mommy Becky and I have a wedding to plan,” Freen said, grinning.
