Chapter 2: Evelyn's party

Violetta's POV

I woke up to the ever annoying sound of my alarm. I grab my phone and press snooze and see it's 8AM, oh why so early I have nothing on today. Oh wait it's Evelyn's party and I told Fran I'd be there for 10 to help her and Diego set up so I'd better get up. I quickly sit and become incredibly dizzy not like ever before. Then suddenly I feel nauseous and run into the ensuite. After throwing up a few times I feel fine; it's been the same for 5 days now and I thought it was just a bug but it's weird I only seem to get it in the morning and sometimes in the night. Well, we'll see I might go see a doctor anyway I brush my teeth and take a shower before heading down stairs to make breakfast.

Time skip

I've just pulled up outside Fran and Diego's place and I get out of the car and grab Evelyn's present. I got her one of those bouncy swings (in the media). I know you're probably thinking that's quite a lot for someone who's not the child's parent to give but she's my only goddaughter I've got spoil her. Anyway I enter the house to be greeted by Fran.

Vilu: Hi, where is the birthday girl.

Fran: Oh she's upstairs with Diego get ready. She'll be down soon anyway come sit down.

Vilu sits next to Fran on the sofa just then Diego walks in with Evelyn toddling in front whilst Diego holds her hands.

Vilu: Oh there's the birthday girl.

Then Diego passes her to Violetta.

Fran: So shall we let her open your present Vilu.

Vilu: of course, has she opened yours yet?

Diego: Yeah, well we did (laughs).

Then Vilu helps Evelyn open it.

Fran: Wow you didn't have spend that much.

Vilu: I know but I love spoiling my only goddaughter and if things continue I highly doubt me and Leon will have a child of our own anytime soon plus I don't think it's the right time with both of our careers and all.

Fran: Don't talk like that anyway you're both still young you'll know when the time's right and there's still plenty of it.

Time skip

Fran's POV

All the guests have arrived for Evelyn's party and everyone's out in the garden except for us girls (me, Vilu, Cami, Naty and Ludmilla) who are in the living room chatting.

Vilu: So have you heard much from the boys lately.

Cami: Broduey rings me every night but we don't have much to say anymore.

Naty: Yeah, Maxi just says he misses me but I don't know it's not the same as when he says it in person.

Ludmi: Yeah I miss Fede's hugs, kisses and you know in the bedroom

Vilu: Way too far Ludmilla! Anyway Fran you don't know how lucky you are having Diego here full time I miss Leon so much.

Fran: Yeah I know how lucky I am. Without him I think I wouldn't have coped bringing up Evelyn over the last year you've seen how much I've struggled.

Vilu: Yeah but at least we have each...

Just then Vilu ran off to the downstairs bathroom, I wonder what's wrong so I go after to her and see her throwing up so I hold her hair back for her and lock the door.
