Chapter 37

MEADOW'S POV

It's been a couple of months since I last spoke to Sam. I see him around the house and we don't speak. He's now got a girlfriend. It hurts me to see him with another girl but if he's happy I'm happy.

Me and Kian are still together and I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. I'm completely in love with Kian and nothing will change that.

"Kian lets go Starbucks!" I shout to Kian from my room to his.

"Okay. I'll drive!" Kian shouts back. I go to Kian's room and find him doing his hair. I jump onto his back.

"Lets go!" I say. Kian gives me a piggyback ride to the car and then he chucks me into the passenger seat. Kian runs round to his side and we are off.

"I'll have a captain crunch frappuccino!" I shout to Kian as I find a seat to sit at.

Kian is back with in minutes. He passes me my drink and he slides into the seat opposite me. We were chatting away when I saw a man walk past the window. I've seen this person before but couldn't quite remember where from. The man walked into Starbucks looked around like he was searching for something.

He stopped looking when he made eye contact with me. A evil grin spread across his face, and then it hit me. I know that evil smile from anywhere. The man was Alex, my brother who killed my parents when I was 5 years old.

"Kian we need to leave now," I started to panic when Alex started to walk towards us.

"Why? We've only just got here." Kian complained.

"Please Kian please. We need to leave now Alex is here." I start to cry.

"Your brother that killed your parents?" Kian asked.

"Yes and he's coming for me. Kian lets go." I grab my drink and Kian's hand and tried to leave. We both left Starbucks and headed for the car but we were stopped when Kian's hand was ripped away from mine.

"Kian!" I scream. I turn around to see Alex holding Kian by the collar of his shirt. Alex had his evil grin on his face.

"Hello baby sis." Alex said with confidence.

"Let Kian go!" I cry.

"I haven't seen you for 10 years and this is how you say hello to me." Alex pretended to be offended.

"Please Alex. Just let him go." I try to persuade Alex to let go of Kian. Kian was throwing punches at Alex but they didn't effect him. Alex is like a rock, he can take any hit with being hurt.

"I'll let go of him if you come with me." Alex teases me.

"No Meadow run. Get as far away from this jerk as possible." Kian tries to help.

"Shut up boy!" Alex punches Kian in the stomach making curl into a ball and groan in pain.

"Kian!" I look at Alex and then Kian. I knew he would kill Kian if I didn't go so I made the biggest decision of my life.

I walked up to Alex and looked him in the eyes.

"Okay Alex... take me and let Kian go." I tried to be strong and show I'm not scared. Alex dropped Kian to the floor making cry out in pain. I cringed at his scream, I know I can't help him because Alex would punish me.

Alex grabs my hand and pulls me towards his car. He throws me in the passenger seat and locks me in. I could see Kian trying to save me but he was in too much pain from the punch to the stomach.

Kian looked up at me crying and I looked back crying. I mouth to Kian "I love you," and that's when Alex drives away.
