MEADOW'S POV

I WAS LATE! I needed to be back at the orphanage and meet my potential parents at 12:00 pm now it's 12:05. I had one job. Be on time.

I paid for my watermelon Arizona and put it in to my hoody pocket and ran out the shop.

I dropped my Penny board on to ground and hopped on. I rolled down the hill towards the orphanage.

By the time I got to the door I was 15 minutes late. Karen is going to take my penny board away because of this. By the way, Karen is the owner of the orphanage. She does what ever she likes to the orphans like hurt us or take away something important to us. I don't think she likes me because when ever a couple come to get a child she tells them lies about me so I wouldn't get adopted. I hate her so much.

I jumped off my board, picked it up and ran as fast as I could through the double doors of the hell hole. I closed the doors behind me and speed walked down the corridor. Karen has many stupid rules, and if you brake them, well you can guess what happens. So I was forced to walk.

I pulled my phone out my pocket to check the time. I was looking down and then...

SMACK!

I was lying of the floor face up. I closed my eyes tight to hold back the tears. It didn't hurt I was embarrassed.

"Are you alright?" A calm but worried voice asked.

I opened my eye to see a rosy cheeked boy looking down at me with his chocolate brown eyes they looked at me with worry. I could feel my cheeks burn bright red.

He stuck out his had I grabbed it and he pulled me up. I stood up and brushed the imaginary dust off me.

"You took quite a fall there." The mysterious boy spoke again his voice calming me down.

"Ye..yeah, sorry about that, I wasn't looking where is was going." I said looking him straight into his eyes. They were beautiful.

I looked down hiding my red cheeks. I could hear the boy slightly laugh. I'm such an embarrassment.

I noticed my Penny board on the floor, I picked it up and started down towards the hall.

I herd a voice shout.

"Hey!" It was the boy again, "sorry I didn't catch your name"
I turned to face him I smiled.

"The name's Jain , Meadow Jain," I say it in my best English accent. I wink at him an carry on towards the hall, hopefully I will get adopted.
