Chapter 10

MEADOW'S POV

After waking up from the coma, time flew past fast. I was in hospital for another week then I was allowed to leave.

After Connor signed me out of the hospital, we got into his car to go home. The car ride was quiet, but it wasn't awkward, just peaceful.

Once we got back to the o2l mansion, Connor helped me out of the car. He stuck out his arm and I linked mine with his. We walked up to the front door together. When Connor opened the door, the house was quiet, to quiet.

"I have a surprise for you," he said smiling, "go up to your room, open the black box on your bed and pretty yourself up. At the bottom of the box there's a note it will tell you the what to do next." He grabbed his car keys and ran out the house leaving me home alone.

I made my way upstairs and entered my room. I found the black box on my bed, I opened it up to find the most beautiful dress ever. The dress was pink at the base and it faded into white near the top. It was a skater dress with a puffy skirt. The bottom of the dress stopped in the middle of my thighs. Under the dress in the box was a pair of white converse.

Before I got dressed, I took a quick shower, dried my hair and let it go natural, which is curly.

I put on my new dress and slipped on my new converse. I went back to the box to find the note. Right at the bottom there was a sticky label which said,

'Now you are ready, head to the garage. That is were your second present is'

I ran down stairs and into the garage. In the middle of the room was a penny board, it was white and it had pink wheels. It matched my dress.

On top of the board was another sticky note, I read it,

"Okay, take your new penny board, and head to the beach, I'll meet you there."

I grabbed my new Penny board and exited the garage. I dropped the board on the ground and hopped on. The wind blowing my hair and face was so fresh, after being stuck in the hospital for so long it felt good to be free.

I got to the edge of the beach and kicked up the penny board and caught it. I didn't see Connor so I sat on a bench and waited.

I was waiting for a couple of minutes two hand covered my eyes.

"Guess who" it was Connor.

"Connor! Thank you so much for all this, the dress and penny board. They're just perfect. But why did do this for me?" I asked him. He uncovered my eyes and sat down next to me.

"Have you forgot, it's your BIRTHDAY!" He reminded me.

"I completely forgot, thanks for the birthday presents" I flashed him a smile. I can't believe I forgot my own birthday, plus it's my 16th.

"Now you've got all dressed up lets go and have dinner," he said. He stuck out he arm and I linked mine with his like we always did.

We went to a fancy restaurant which was beautiful and the food tasted great, I had a burger while Connor had pizza, although we were at a fancy restaurant. Typical.

After dinner, we went for a walk along the beach. We found a pier with an amusement park, it had a roller coaster and a big wheel. Connor insisted we went, he ran off leaving me. I ran after him. When I entered the park I had lost Connor. I walked round for abit looking for him but I couldn't find him.

Then I noticed the park was empty, not a single soul in sight. What's going on? Where is everyone? Why were the lights turned off?

I was pulled out my thoughts when all the lights turned on and o2l, Youtubers, and viners jumped out shouting,

"SURPRISE!" I let out a scream and everyone laughed at me because of how scared I got. I said my thank yous and then I saw Connor.

"I can't believe you did all this for me." I jumped on to his back.

"Don't thank me, thank Sam it was all his idea." Connor said while spinning me around. I'll find Sam later and thank him.

I jump off Connor's back and went to join the party, I met lots of new people, like Hayes Grier, Jack Johnson, I met some English Youtubers like Joe and Zoe Sugg, and many many more.I talked with everyone, danced for a bit and went to enjoy the rides.

After a bit I got to hot so I went to cool off and get a drink, I walked up to the very end of the pier, and I saw a male figure standing, staring of in to the ocean just before sun set. I walked up to the male a stood next to him. It was Sam. I scooted over to him so our bodies were touching. He flinched, then he noticed it was me he relaxed. He grabbed my hand and our fingers intertwined.

"Thank you for the whole party." I said at last.

"Oh, it was nothing." he replied.

"I haven't seen you in forever." I smiled at him.

"Yeah..." He sounded sad. What could be possibly wrong. Have I done something wrong? I always mess up.

"What's the matter?" I gave him a concerned look. Sam just looked into the ocean, and let tears form in his eyes. I pulled him into a hug, we just stood there in silence until he spoke.

"It just killed me when I saw you in the coma. It killed me that I couldn't hold you and kiss you, all I wanted to do is be with you." He let a single tear roll down his cheek. My heart broke seeing him like this.

"It's okay now, I'm awake I can hug and kiss you and always be with you." I pulled away from the hug and we were just staring into each other's eyes, more tears were rolling down his cheeks soaking them. I used my thumbs to wipe them away.

"Sam..it's okay... I'll never leave you..." then we kissed as the sun set, disappearing beyond the horizon.
