Chapter 19

MEADOW'S POV

"Happy to see me again?" The leader of the three girls snarled, I didn't answer, I just looked down at my shoes. She gave me a death glare and gritted her teeth.

"Answer me!" She grabbed my hair lifting my head so that I faced her. "ANSWER ME!" She screamed.

"Oh no I'm listening, it just takes me a minute to process so much stupid all at once. Oh I got it. I'm not happy to see your ugly face." I snapped back. She was surprised by my response, she let go of my hair and pushed me up the canteen wall. Then I started speaking again,

"If I throw a stick, would you leave me alone?" I heard some sniggers, laughs and Oohs echo round the room. I felt a smile spread across my face, but across the leaders face was embarrassment and pure anger. She was breathing heavy through her nose trying to hold in her anger. I burst out laughing in her face to show her that she just got told.

"What are you laughing at?" She Barked at me,

"Your ugly face," I replied, I felt like I had to finish this, what I said next was probably going to get me hurt, but it effected the leader the most. "oh and I forgot to tell you. I'm dating Sam." I gave her a smile which said beat that and I'm better then you. I could see the anger in her eyes change to hate.

She dropped rucksack on the floor and pulled up her sleeves. Then she swung her fist at me aiming for my head. I dropped to the floor landing on my stomach. I noticed a table and I crawled under it. I stayed under it waiting to be noticed, the leader was shouting for me and looking around, but she couldn't find me. I waited for a couple if minutes then the lunch bell rang. Phew I made it out alive.

Once everyone had left, I rolled out from under the table, stood up and brushed off some food on my clothes. I sighed with relief and headed for my next class, geography.
