Chapter 39 Mates and Marks

(Alexander prov)

*I woke up to my tiny feisty mate in my arms, something wasn't right tho. She always had a cold feel about her body never a normal warm,but she felt ice cold. I listened for the beating of her heart,but I didn't hear one! I immediately started to do CPR trying to get her heart started,but before I even got the second try for her heart to beat she shot up making a gasping noise.*

"Don't do that! Not a good wake up call mate!"

"Y..your heart stopped beating tho. Are you ok?!"

"I am fine just tired is all."

*I watched my mate flop back down onto the mattress into my arms.I still didn't hear her heart beat tho.She wasn't breathing either I felt panic wash over me as she layed their. She snuggled closer to me and her icy cold temperate was clear.*

"Ivy,you aren't breathing....."

"Talk to Ash and Snow bout this...too....tired."

*Her eyes opened and one was red the other blue.*

"Ash, Snow?"

"Yeah you are probly wondering what is going on and well Ash will have to explain, because I wasn't around during Ivy's moms time. Tho Ivy doesn't remember this so I am no sure if Ash should say just yet what is going on,but don't worry Ivy isn't dead more like in full body hibernation for the day."

"Why would she be in that?"

"Too much stress on her and our body in so little time. It's like restarting a computer or tv. Which you need to teach Snow and Ivy about."

"Her life isn't in danger then?"

"No she will just be in her natural element, cold for a few days maybe just today and she will be tired and not care to move around. More or less like after creating the mating bond, which FYI when she wakes up you might wanna start."

*I couldn't believe Ash was talking so calmly about this then again she has been around for two generations which makes me wonder if she has the same connections about me as Snow and Ivy do.*

"I have a question,do you have the same connection with me as Ivy and Snow do?"

"Yes,and no. Once the mate bond has been half way done I will be closer bonded to you then once the bond is complete then yes I will have the exact same bond. If something were to ever happen to Ivy while in child labor and then Snow and I would be given to her child so on so forth that only applies if something happens to her tho so don't get all protective cause she won't go down without a fight."

"That had been made very clear overtime."

"Well I am retreating back now so do what you like Ivy wants something to keep her warm tho so that's my que to leave and your que to cuddle."

*I watched as Ash retreated and the once red eyes turned a quick  green and blue then they closed and her she fell back onto my lap. I stroked her head as she laid in my lap and she gave a small smile and snuggled closer to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She still felt ice cold,but the longer she laid in my lap the warmer she got.  My mate was so adorable when she slept all worries of the world vanished when she gave that small smile. I bent down to kiss her forehead,but instead as I came down her lips met mine and she had a shy smile on her face. I was shocked at how quickly  she woke up. I met her back in the kiss. I felt as she wrapped her finger in my hair and her lips were soft against my lips and velvety warm. Her breath tasted of peppermint. Our kiss began to get more heated As we faught for  dominance.*

(Ivy prov)

*I surprised Alexander by meeting him for a kiss instead of letting him meet my forehead. His lips were like tasting the first morning dew. I entangled my hands in his hair I had a better idea of what to do this time and I let this kiss become more heated. Alexander asked for entrance I denied him so he gentle bit my lip a bit which surprised me and he took that opportunity to put his toung in my mouth and he felt around in it feeling every part of it I did the same then he went down to my neck and started to suck on it.  I let out a moan he stopped for a second and looked me in the eye.*

"If I continue then I am going to start the matting process by marking you. Are you ready for that?"

*I leaned up and whispered in his ear.*

"If I wasn't then I would have stopped you."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

*Alexander nodded and went down to where my neck and shoulder met and started to suck on it getting a moan of pleasure come from me I then felt a sharp pain from where your neck and shoulders connect,but then it was replaced with pleasure. Alexander licked where he had bitten my neck so it closed up creating the bond.I felt really tired afterwards,but I didn't feel any different.*

"Sleep, you will be tired for a bit,I will wake you up when it's night."

*I closed my eyes and fell asleep to Alexander's steady and constant heartbeat.*
