Ah, today is quite gloomy.

I thought I'd be in a good mood, but nothing ever seems to go according to plan. I sigh. Not Ennoshita, not Y/N, not Hinata.

I keep my legs wrapped around the leather stool, and as I sit alone in silence, I can't help but think back to Y/N's conversation with Hinata.

I know I was there just to record the whole thing, but I had no idea their interaction would be so... crushing.

While those two were talking... I don't think Y/N thought about me at all.

No—

She didn't think about Kakeru at all. And the more I sit in this dull, suffocating room. The more it sucks.

Man... everything sucks. Today sucks, my emotions suck...
This interrogation room sucks too. I should've been more careful with the way I handled that situation a couple days ago.

I allowed myself to fly off the handle, just as I'd done the same with Kauri... and that cat. Yes; the cat. It certainly was the most undeserving victim of mine, but it's not as though its death is on my consciousness at all.

I lean back in the stool, keeping my hands planted firmly around the leather. I daringly balance my weight against the stool, just staring at the ceiling— Wondering just how long they plan on holding me here... but then I hear the door turn.

"Hm?"

Finally, some bit of entertainment I find myself thinking. I roll my dark hues towards the door— eyeing the middle-aged man with a policeman clinging to him; similarly to the badge he was wearing. He looked like an accessory, thus my eyes undoubtedly zeros in on the detective.

"Hi, I am Detective Gaku Ryouka of the Homicide Division. Morioka police department. I understand you were brought in quite abruptly, but as you already know; it is regarding Ennoshita Chikara."

I feel electricity shoot through my veins at the mention of his name, but I show no semblance of concern for the matter. These people have no evidence on me. I maintain eye contact, and as I realize this, I lower the legs of the stool back to the floor.

"Yes I remember. That's what your guy told me when he and another officer brought me in." I don't smile, I just extend my hand for him to grasp. If I act suspicious, then I may as well be putting myself in handcuffs.

Mr. Gaku then lowers his files, wearing a bit of a satisfactory smile. He swoops my hand within his own and gives it a solid and dogged shake. "That's great! This case should go smoothly then; since you're so compliant."

And despite the sting in my wrist that causes my body to jolt, I ignore this sharp ache will a dull smile.

I must've used too much force to crack that shit-faces skull open two days ago.

I am surprised by his firm grip, but I just shake my head and bring my hand back down to my lap. While there, I subtly swipe his sweat and touch off my hands. Exchanging pleasantries with people have always been a sort of peeve of mine. It is disgusting.
