Y/N has this ability. This... superpower.
She is able to connect with just about anything and anyone. Birds, ants, people. She glows, and any path she takes is illuminated by her steps alone. I don't know how she does it.
But what I do know; is that after our last conversation, she is not mad at me. She does not hate me. She in fact, misses me. I can feel the relief reverberate throughout my body each time I think back to last night.
Being myself will now feel like less of a burden— especially if she accepts me. Well— if Y/N can accept Koshi, then surely she can accept Kakeru?
Which then begins to lead me to my next thought...
Past lives are reduced to ashes, including Koshi Sugawara. For him, it's over. I am Hoga Kakeru now.
Knock, knock!
"Room service!" I shout behind my stifling kitchen mask, gripping the sides of the platter.
It sounds as though things were still on the inside. I don't hear any laughs, partying, chatting or even any music. Hinata and another lady had stormed by me a few moments ago... Did everyone go home?
Shit. Am I too late?
But then the door begins to creak on its hinges. Immediately, I am greeted by a man taller than I am. He looks to be three or over. I squint a little. I can't help but feel a little inferior— so imagine how this guy feels.
"Someone put in a request for veggie burgers, cookies, pizza and a fruit bowl."
He eyes me for a moment— which felt a like an uncomfortable and eerie minute or two. I try not to break the smile that I have so fastidiously placed on my visage— a bead of sweat trickles.
"Huh. I thought they'd just send our last dasher." Tsukishima reaches for the platter, and slowly, he rakes it out of my hands.
I want to see Y/N. Even if it's just a glance. I press the palm of my unscarred hand against the door, holding it open for him. I can be real gentleman-like to a man, even if it's to get a glimpse of the woman most fondest to me.
I notice her almost immediately. I can recognize that backside from anywhere.
But— What is she doing? Her shoulders are shaking, her head is low. I can feel every muscle in my body tense up as I fight every part of me that's wanting to barge in right now.
My heart feels heavy as I watch. Tsukishima is growing suspicious of me— and he should— I've been staring for too long.
I try to break this streak with a, "Is she okay?" I'm trying to pass off as a concerned staff member who /really/ cares about his guests. It wasn't hard to get ahold of a uniform at all. I just had to find a shirt that pairs well with these jeans— and I hardly do anything suspicious without my trusty black cap. It has seen a lot.
Tsukishima glances over his shoulder for a moment, seething. Something terrible must've happened, because he's making quite the unforgiving expression.
