Chapter 27 : A Turning Point

It was Christmas celebration time in school, and the atmosphere was electric. The students of Rhea's class were busy decorating their classroom with colorful streamers, balloons, and a majestic Christmas tree. Rhea, along with her friends, was enthusiastically involved in the decorations, trying to make their classroom look the best.

As she worked, Rhea's mind kept drifting to Aryan. She had been searching for him all over the classroom but couldn't find him anywhere. She wondered if he was avoiding her or if he was just running late. After waiting for 20 minutes, Rhea heard her teacher call out Aryan's name loudly. "Hey, Aryan! Come here."

Rhea felt a wave of relief wash over her. She was glad to know that Aryan was in the classroom. She sensed that he came and was standing just behind her. She could feel his presence, but she didn't turn around to look at him. Instead, she continued to help her classmates with the decorations.

As the decorations neared completion, Rhea noticed that Rohan was regularly asking for her help. At first, she thought he just needed assistance with the decorations, but soon she realized that he was trying to talk to her. Rhea was happy to chat with Rohan, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Aryan was watching her.

Just then, Rhea saw Zara laughing and talking with Aryan. She felt a pang of disappointment and jealousy. Why did Aryan always seem to connect with Zara on a deeper level? Rhea wondered. She tried to push the thoughts aside, focusing on the decorations, but she couldn't help feeling a little left out.

As the class continued to buzz with excitement, Rhea's emotions intensified. She felt like she was being pulled in different directions. On one hand, she was happy to be celebrating Christmas with her friends. On the other hand, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Aryan was ignoring her.

Just then, Zara said something that made Rhea's heart sink. "Hey, look! Aryan only passed the soft drink to Kiara!" Rhea felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. Why did Aryan always seem to prioritize others over her? She wondered.

As the emotions swirled inside her, Rhea's head began to ache. She felt like she was going to explode. She quickly sat down on a nearby desk, bowing her head in an attempt to calm down. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to relax.

The noise of the classroom faded into the background as Rhea focused on her breathing. She felt her heart rate slow down, and her mind began to clear. Just as she was starting to relax, one of her classmates came over to wake her up. "Rhea, we're done with the decorations!"

Rhea slowly opened her eyes, taking in the newly decorated classroom. It looked beautiful, with colorful streamers and balloons adding a festive touch. Rhea smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment.

As the class began to clean up the litter, Rhea's teacher assigned her a task. "Rhea, please tear and throw away these old, unchecked tests." Rhea nodded, taking the tests from her teacher. As she began to tear the papers, she heard a deep, respectful voice behind her. "Hey, please also throw these away."

Rhea turned around to see Aryan standing behind her, a pile of papers in his hand. He smiled and handed the papers to her. Rhea's heart skipped a beat as their hands touched. She felt a spark of electricity run through her body.

For a moment, Rhea forgot about her annoyance and frustration. She forgot about the decorations and the celebrations. All she could think about was Aryan and the way he was looking at her. It was as if time had stopped, and all that mattered was this moment.

But the moment was short-lived. Rhea quickly snapped back to reality, remembering her annoyance and frustration. She turned her face away, trying to composed herself and taking the papers from Aryan.

As Rhea continued to tear and throw away the papers, she couldn't help but think about Aryan.Things again started to arise in her mind
"Why do I feel nervous around him?"
"Why is he the only one to respond me with due respect?"
"Why is he the only one who on one hand likes to stare at me and on the other asks Kiara if she wants soft-drink?"
"Why does he only see me as a friend?"
"If he really likes to know my preferences and opinioms then why is he being too good to Zara and Kiara?"
"Why can't he treat me like he treats others?"
"Why did he always seem to affect me so deeply?"
"Why did I always feel like I was walking on eggshells around him?"

The questions swirled in her mind, making her feel anxious and uncertain. Rhea knew she needed to talk to someone about her feelings. She couldn't keep bottling up her emotions forever.

As the class came to an end, Rhea decided to confide in her parents. She knew they would listen to her and offer her guidance. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the conversation ahead.

When Rhea reached home, she sat down with her parents and tried to tell them everything, but she couldn't. Instead, she just lay on her bed with closed eyes and started to relax her mind. She then got clarity by doing so.

She knew what she needed to do. She needed to focus on herself and her own happiness. She needed to let go of her emotions and trust that everything would work out for the best.

With a newfound sense of determination, Rhea stood up and she said to herself, her voice filled with gratitude, "I'll try to focus on myself and my own happiness."

Rhea smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she still had a long way to go, but with her determination she felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
