Sophia
I sat there on the bed, staring at the wall, my chest tight, my mind racing. I didn’t even realize I was crying until the tears hit my hands. I tried to stop them, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t stop anything. Everything felt like it was crumbling, and no matter how hard I tried to push it away, it wouldn’t go.
I lay back on the bed, my head pounding. I wanted to sleep, to escape for a little while, but the thought of what happened today kept replaying in my mind, over and over again. How did everything get so messed up?
The creak of the window made my breath hitch. I turned toward the sound, my pulse spiking. Nick was climbing in, his movements slow and deliberate, followed by Jack, who shut the door with a smug look that sent a chill down my spine.
“What are you doing here?” I demanded, my voice sharper than I expected, though my hands trembled at my sides.
Nick grinned, stepping closer. “You’ve been avoiding us, Sophia. Thought we’d pay you a visit.”
“I don’t want you here,” I snapped, backing up until I hit the wall.
Jack leaned casually against the door, his arms crossed, his eyes roaming over me with an arrogance that made my stomach churn. “She doesn’t look very happy to see us, does she?” he said with a smirk.
Nick laughed lowly. “No, but we’ll fix that.”
Before I could respond, Nick closed the distance between us, his hand brushing a strand of hair from my face. I slapped it away, glaring.
“Don’t touch me,” I hissed.
“You’ve got fire,” he said, his voice dropping to a mocking whisper. “I like that.”
I tried to move around him, but Jack stepped forward, cutting me off. His hand skimmed down my arm, and I jerked away, my skin crawling at his touch.
“You always act so untouchable,” Jack murmured, his tone as smooth as silk. “But we all know better.”
“Back off,” I said, my voice shaking despite my best effort to sound firm.
Nick tilted his head, his grin widening. “Make us.”
The words barely left his mouth before he leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. I twisted away, but he grabbed my wrist, holding me in place. His kiss was rough, invasive, and it made my stomach twist with fury and disgust.
“Let me go!” I shouted, shoving at him with my free hand, but he barely budged.
Jack chuckled from behind me, his voice low and infuriating. “You’re even prettier when you’re angry,” he said, stepping closer until I could feel his breath on my neck.
Before I could react, his lips brushed against my neck, trailing slowly. I shoved him hard, my breathing ragged as I twisted to free myself, but Nick’s grip tightened.
“You’re wasting your energy,” Nick said, his voice dripping with mockery. “No one’s coming to save you.”
My chest tightened, but I forced myself to glare at him. “Get out!” I snapped, my voice shaking but still defiant.
Instead of listening, Jack stepped closer, catching my other arm and pulling me toward the bed. “Relax, Sophia,” he murmured, his voice oozing false charm. “We just want to spend some time with you.”
“Stop fighting,” he added, his tone light but menacing. “It’s not going to help you.”
“Mattia will—” I started, but Jack cut me off with a harsh laugh.
