The Tophia & Johnny Show - Episode 8 - Drag me to the crown [Part 1]

(Johnny embraces drag, leading to jealousy and competition.) 

Plot Summary: Johnny decides to try drag and becomes a rising star in the local LGBTQ+ scene. However, Tophia becomes increasingly jealous as Johnny's new hobby pulls him away from their usual dynamic. Tensions rise, and the episode ends with Johnny entering a high-stakes drag competition, much to Tophia's dismay.

[Cold Open: Johnny's Apartment]

[Johnny enters, holding an enormous bag from a costume shop. He's beaming withexcitement.]

Johnny: Tophia! You're not gonna believe this—I'm finally doing it. I'm becoming a dragqueen!

Tophia: (eating chips on the couch) Oh, so now you wanna wear my clothes and make it yourthing?

[Cutaway Gag #1: Tophia imagines Johnny burried beneath her clothing and she tries to listen to him talk, but it's all muffled. She pulls a dump truck lever and a pile of clothes get dumped on top of Johnny as he waves his arms around like he's drowning, but in clothing instead of water.]

Johnny: (rolling his eyes) Don't flatter yourself. Your wardrobe's more "dumpster chic" than"glamorous diva."

Tophia: (mock gasping) Excuse me? These sweatpants are vintage. Anyway, why drag?

Johnny: Because it's fabulous! I get to channel all my sass and creativity into one sparklypackage. It's art, Tophia. Living art.

Tophia: (sarcastic) Yeah, sure. Call me when you need someone to teach you how to walk inheels without face-planting.

[Johnny glares at her, determined.]

[Scene 1: Johnny's Drag Persona is Born]

[Montage of Johnny trying out drag looks and perfecting his persona with Tianna coachinghim.]

[Cutaway #1: Tianna's Drag Pep Talk]

[Tianna stands in front of a nervous Johnny, dressed in a sparkly tracksuit.]

Tianna: Listen up, baby. Drag isn't just makeup and wigs—it's a lifestyle. A battlefield. Nowtuck, glue, and sparkle like your life depends on it!

[Scene 2: Tophia Grows Jealous]

[As Johnny gets deeper into drag culture, Tophia starts feeling left out and irritated.]

Tophia: (grumbling) So now you're "Johnnaya Envy," the drag sensation, and I'm just your lazyroommate?

Johnny: (teasing) Don't act like you're not loving the free tickets to my shows. Also, phat, you forgot phat.

Tophia: (grinning reluctantly) Okay, fine. The chicken wings at the bar are pretty good.

[But when Johnny skips movie night to rehearse, Tophia starts to seethe.]

[Scene 3: The Drag Competition Announcement]

[Johnny learns about a local drag competition with a cash prize and prestige. He entersimmediately, sharing the news with Tianna and Tophia.]

Tianna: (excited) Oh honey, this is major! You're gonna snatch that crown and slay the wholecity!

Tophia: (forcing a smile) Yeah... or trip over your wig and face-plant on stage. Either way, wewin.

[Cutaway gag: Tophia wears a lamp shade and stands behind Johnny who ignores her as he watches Drag Race.]

Johnny: (ignoring her) I've got this. No one can out-glam Johnnaya Envy.

[Cue montage of Johnny in drag performing while Tophia samples an assortment of buffalo wings. The montage plays to Lights, Camera, Action by Kylie Minogue for 2 and a half minutes.]

[Scene 4: Cliffhanger Ending]

[The competition night arrives, and Johnny is in full drag, glittering and confident. Hesteps onto the stage, locking eyes with his rival, Crystal Mayhem, a veteran queen with afierce reputation.]

Crystal Mayhem: (mocking) Oh look, a baby queen trying to snatch my crown. Adorable.

Johnny: (smirking) Careful, Crystal. You might choke on all that shade.

[As the competition begins, Tophia watches from the crowd, her jealousy boiling over. Theepisode ends with Johnny striking a pose on stage, ready to lip-sync for the crown.]
