EPILOGUE

CRUISE'S POV

"Oh right, iiri mo. One, two, three, push!"

Nasa gilid niya lang ako at hawak-hawak ko ang isang kamay niya at ang isa naman ay nakakapit sa kabila, I saw her close her eyes, breathing hard, like she was digging into her own stomach.  When she delivered baby Crusifer, and I was the one helping her, I wasn't scared or nervous like this.

But now, it feels like a stampede of horses is running through my chest. Even my hands are shaking, and I don't know why I feel this way.

"Isa pa, one, two, three... Push!"

"Just push wife! Ayan na! Come on baby!"
Sabi ko para palakasin lalo ang loob niya. She breathed in again, and my eyes widened as I saw the head of our child. God! The doctor pulled him out, and he was covered in thick fluid and blood.

"Yes! You did it, love!"
I couldn't help but shout in joy. I watched as another nurse took him. He cried loudly, and I felt like I was drowning in happiness as I heard his voice.

"Wow, it's a baby boy."
Sabi niya kaya gusto ko tuloy pumunta sa gawi nila at tingnan siya kaso hindi ko puwedeng bitawan ang kamay ng asawa ko dahil si baby Crimson palang ang lumabas at may apat pa sa loob. Nagpapahinga na siya at hinahaplos ko ang ulo niya at hinahalikan ang noo niya.

"Sabihin mo lang sa'kin kapag parang natatae ka, okay?"

Nakita ko siyang tumango at napatingin ako sa relo ko, limang minuto na ang nakalipas. Nakita ko siyang ngumiwi kaya nataranta na naman ako.

"Baby... Meron na ba? May lalabas na?"

"H-humihilab na naman."

"Doc! Himihilab daw."
Sabi ko sa kanya at parang natawa pa siya sa'kin. What's wrong? I'm just supporting my wife?

"Okay, subukan natin. Hold on... Sige, pagsinabi kong iiri mo iiri mo kaagad. One, two, three, iri!"

"Ahh!"

Narinig kong sabi niya dahil sa mahabang pag-iri niya. Kinakabahan na naman ako at sinisilip ko ito para mas lalo kong makita ang paglabas ni baby.

"Come on wife! Just, push. Lumabas na ang ulo niya, kaya mo 'yan baby. Come on!"

"Makinig ka sa asawa mo Mrs. Delmonio, huwag mong itigil ang pag-iri nakikita ko na ang ulo ni baby."

I heard her sigh again, and then the doctor pulled out our second child. I smiled and kissed her on the head.

"God! You're amazing, wife! Look, we have two now. It's baby Beryl. Three more to go, we're almost there!"
I said, full of excitement. I kissed her forehead again, and the nurse took our second child.

"Ayos kalang ba wife? Pakatatag ka, may tatlo pa baby."

Nag-aalala ako sa kanya kasi mukhang pagod na siya, naawa din ako at halo-halong emosyon ang nararamdaman ko. I knew she was struggling, and I wanted to cry because I remembered the quadruplets.  That means she went through so much more then, because she was alone when she gave birth to the four of them. And I promise, I will never leave her now, no matter what happens.

I stroked her belly, because ten minutes had passed, but nothing was happening.  A moment later, she started writhing in pain again...

"Okay, papalabas na ang ikatatlo. Humugot ka ng lakas at umiri ka kaagad. One, two and now push!"

"Push wife, push! Sige pa, ayan na! Wow, ayan na baby! Kaya mo 'yan."

My jaw dropped open as baby Brethany came out quickly.
