the fire cracked and sparked as the night fell once again.
my head was resting on jjs chest, john b and sarah were sat beside each other, pope and cleo were all cuddled up.
rafe was rather distant. i didn't blame him though
"i think next time we take a trip, we should maybe plan ahead." john b laughs
"maybe a hotel next time?" i request
"and a shower. i stink." sarah sighs
"i smelled myself today. and it was bad." john b nodded
"you weren't the only one who smelled you today." i giggle
we all laugh
home.
all of us, we made a home.
together.
and then we lost it.
"hey, uh.. you know what's a good name for a baby? jj. goes both ways actually. boy and girl name." jj smiles
i giggle
"what baby?" pope chuckles
"that's right.. you guys don't know.." sarah smiles
i squeeze jjs hand in excitement
"no way. a poguelet?" cleo exclaims
"you? you're gonna be a freaking dad!?" pope shouts
i run over and hug sarah, as does cleo
but even though we lost it all..
we still had each other
we had everything that really mattered.
"a little baby.. if it's a girl call it vienna. best name ever, i've never heard of it." i nod
"oh ill put it on my list" sarah giggles
but the question is, what would we risk to get our home back?
THE NEXT MORNING
we began our walk to our destination. out of the dunes.
"all right, all is not lost, right? like, we got a bead on groff, and he can lead us to the crown. and listen, i know i've had a little bit of a wobble the last couple of days.. and im sorry. but i'm back... and i feel good." jj smiles
"just.. when we get there.. can you be careful? jj, that was too close. way too close." i sigh
"yeah. i'm sorry. and.. about.. mr shady behind us?" jj asks, i look back at rafe, locking eyes with him for a second then look back at jj
"he says he only wants to find groff. he doesn't care about the treasure." i roll my eyes
"yeah.. i've heard that before." jj scoffs
he interlocks his fingers with mine and he starts skipping, pulling me with him
"all right! come on yall! civilisation can't be that far, right!?" jj shouts happily
it was nice seeing him like this again.

we finally got to essaouira.
"okay all we have to do is locate the wharf and find groff, okay?" jj states, making it sound easy
we then saw the absolute busyness of the place.
